We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Easy to use.""The Autopilot feature is fantastic. It is a Microsoft product, so it deals best with Microsoft operating systems, but it can integrate with iOS, Mac OS, Linux, and Android.""Conditional access has helped us tailor and enforce our security policies in the mobile space.""It has improve our organization through the remote management of non-domain joined devices.""It works pretty well for us.""Autopilot is the most valuable feature.""Its direct integration with all the other products that we have from Microsoft is valuable. We're using the E5 license, and we have a whole wealth of different products available. It just makes it easier to have everything from one provider.""Intune enables us to manage our devices from anywhere."

"BMC support is great. They usually can answer any of our questions in a short amount of time and solve our most complex issues.""The most valuable feature is its ability to remediate quickly and efficiently across a number of IT assets at the same time. It takes away manual efforts from the team to go out and fix those vulnerabilities through patching, conflict updates, etc.""The solution is stable.""The best feature of the solution is patch automation.""The ability to script and create BL packages to perform various functions. This makes automating our environment relatively easy to do.""Among the most valuable features is its flexibility and ability to work across multiple operating systems. Being able to execute some form of data collection and not have to worry about whether I'm working on a Linux box, or a Windows box, or the underlying OS, I can do these collections, get these results, and put them together in a uniform format which makes it easier to present back to management.""BladeLogic lets users view the filesystem with minimal authorization to the server.""The product's valuable feature is its ability to conduct patching for multiple servers simultaneously."

"It's easy to use.""This is a vast system that includes a lot of features.""The initial setup is relatively easy.""Fortinet FortiGate Cloud has valuable firewall, SSL VPN, and web filtering features.""The solution is very easy to use.""The IPS and firewall function is valuable in Fortinet FortiGate Cloud.""The most valuable FortiGate Cloud feature is logging. It's there seven days a week, and there is no hard limit on logs or size restrictions. This much capacity will show up for that seven days. FortiGate Cloud offers many other valuable features like Fortinet Secure Gateway, SASE, and the Fortinet Security Fabric.""We have found the most valuable features of Fortinet FortiGate Cloud are the firewall and the VPN connection manager. I am not worried about any cyber attacks, the solution is secure and I receive daily summary reports."

Cons
"Deploying an app can be a complex process due to dependencies.""There should be more focus on mobile device security and integration.""No option to do end-to-en macOS management. Slow implementation of policies.""It would be good if, in addition to the minimal patching and compliance, we could also use Intune for application deployment. For instance, if a device is not patched, Intune should have the ability to push not only a Microsoft patch but also other patches, such as a browser patch.""Microsoft Intune's support for Mac devices is lacking and could be improved.""Microsoft needs to enhance device-level security, as sometimes when using Microsoft Intune, the device's operating system becomes stuck and requires a full uninstall to remove the Intune bug.""There should be more support for macOS. Even though macOS is supported by Intune and Microsoft is working very hard to get more features into Intune to manage macOS, that's one thing they can give a lot more attention to.""We haven't really gone through all the features of Intune. We are just discovering them. Every day, we see a new feature that we want to apply, but what will be great for Intune is to be able to deploy apps in a simple fashion. We should be able to easily install various apps on the Windows platform, iOS, and Android. Currently, we have to write some scripts. It's not as straightforward as we would like it to be. It should be simplified so that we can do it just with three clicks—next, next, finish—without needing to write a script."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"BMC TrueSight Server Automation's scripting needs improvement.""Needs more use cases into compliance management and the remediation process.""There is no option to see all the servers we patch and we cannot find what the server status is. Of course, we can what has been completed and what is pending and which servers have failed, but we cannot find server status from the BMC tool. For example, is the RDP up or not. We are using separate scripts for that.""Resource management on the base servers is sluggish and could be improved.""There is no other functionality available to patch the containers that we need to include.""We encountered some reporting issues. Also, we needed to gather information from the backend before the product execution. The output's format is not good.""Scaling the environment during setup at larger organizations with 10,000 employees gets complicated.""The setup of this suite is very complicated. It needs to be simplified."

More BMC TrueSight Server Automation Cons →

"Fortinet FortiGate Cloud could improve the dashboards.""We do find we get a bit of a lag.""There are European and US clouds and sometimes we mix them up. The solution should make determining the clouds more clear, or make one cloud instead of having separate ones.""The solution’s pricing and stability could be improved.""It would be better for us if Fortinet provided a private cloud, and they should provide more security on the public cloud. There are some minor issues with security with the public cloud. For example, anyone with a link can access the public cloud.""We've not seen any areas for improvement.""Some configuration changes would be helpful.""The Linux version currently lacks some of the latest features, notably in the IPv6 tool stack, which is available for Windows clients."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
