We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Ability to see the blueprint of the design executed alongside the actual process.""The most valuable feature is the customizability.""Blue Prism offers the whole package for LPR developers. It's a useful tool to automate anything. As an LPR developer, I think the most important feature is that it lets you get anything into blocks of code that you can use anywhere.""It is an easily scalable solution.""The primary focus lies in integrating the three major cloud platforms with Blue Prism Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and GCP. This integration goes beyond security measures for the primary template policies. It also includes addressing compliance requirements. For instance, I can incorporate specific compliance templates and policies generated in Blue Prism and integrate them with local templates for ISO 27001 and GDPR, particularly concerning software tools and headsets. This integration eliminates the need for auditing and reviewing technical details individually. Instead, I can simply examine the container report. This approach proves beneficial when clients heavily rely on container environments.""Blue Prism Cloud is an easy to access and user-friendly solution.""The reusability of the solution is excellent. It's a superior feature - far superior to any other tool on the market.""With Blue Prism, I like the feature that you build, I don't know the exact name now, but blocks or standards can be reduced later. You configure, for example, the CRM system, and you create a standardized manner of inputting data into the CRM system that you can reuse later. I'm not sure what that's called, but I enjoy it whether it's a feature or not."

"Compared to other vendors, it's the scheduling tool because a lot of vendors want to charge you extra for their enterprise-level license to have a scheduling tool built in to give you the ability to set up regular schedules to run and do certain data checks.""This tool has machine learning and voice recognition and computer vision, which are both quite useful aspects. These aren't available in other tools. It's a good addition to this tool and it gives the solution an edge on the market.""The solution is continuously adding more integrations to help with workflows and bot and task creation.""We have tried other RPA solutions like UiPath or Automation Anywhere. They are fantastic products but complex, and it's hard to understand everything. It would be best if you had a skilled developer or several. Automate is easy to implement, administer, and use. It's appropriate for us because our cases are simple and easy to automate. We don't need complicated tools with many features; We prefer to get a significant ROI quickly.""The pricing is excellent. I would give them perfect marks in that regard.""I find it very user-friendly. Our IT department and other departments can seamlessly collaborate without requiring extensive training. As a business department, we particularly value this aspect, as our team doesn't consist of many IT users. However, we couldn't solely rely on a drag-and-drop approach to implement and utilize the solution within our departments.""This product is quite easy to install, learn, and use, with our new employees being able to start using it in projects for clients after only two weeks of internal training.""The interface is simple, user-friendly, and very intuitive."

Cons
"I personally would like the solution to be supporting more languages.""Blue Prism Cloud needs to improve support, though documentation is available online. It is not detailed, which does not help.""It would be useful if some of the information protocols came built within the app instead having to create them.""The pricing was a bit high, from what I understand. That might have played a role in the decision to migrate to another solution.""Improvement should be per customer requirements.""It could be more flexible.""Having more AI functionality would be an improvement.""There's a need to deal with unstructured input with RPA."

More Blue Prism Cloud Cons →

"The workflow for variables could be better. The input and output of task-level variables could be made a little clearer in terms of passing those around from one task to another upon success, etc. Things like that could be a little easier potentially.""There is room for improvement regarding cloud functionality; there are a few missing features, and the logging could be better, especially air logging. We can go into logging events and create our own task, but it would be nice if this were more detailed.""I believe we need to test various OCR tools that assist in evaluating, let's say, six different customer resyncs. We analyze their spending patterns and documentations, but current OCR support has limitations, requiring highly standardized documents, which isn't always the case. With a more advanced OCR system, we could improve processes related to credit risk management and legal matters. We're exploring how to integrate Fortra's Automate with our CRM platform, taking cues from instances where Salesforce seamlessly merged with Automate. However, we use a different CRM, Insight for New Enterprise, and we're seeking ways to connect the automation process within our CRM. We aim for the automation to continue smoothly, even in instances where traditional automation methods might face hurdles.""They do not encrypt passwords, so this is an issue with HIPAA compliance.""The vendor is currently working on a solution that allows us to automatically create a process that is based on a document that we receive via email.""The documentation is not that great.""I would like to see some better web automation, a wizard like the one in the product WinAutomation would be very nice.""The solution has a very weak knowledge base."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing can be negotiated in situations where there will be heavy usage."
  • "The licensing structure is complex and the minimum contract length is three years."
  • "We pay about $15,000 per quarter in licensing costs. We don't have to pay for any other extra costs. There isn't, for example, an extra cost for technical support. We just pay the licensing."
  • "There are many RPA solutions available from different vendors and the pricing for Blue Prism is competitive."
  • "Annual licensing costs were somewhere between $5,000 - $10,000 for the development tool. For the control tower, I think fees were about $50,000 annually."
  • "This solution comes at a medium to high price point. They need to work on their pricing to enable smaller enterprises to get the benefit of using the product."
  • "When compared with UiPath, I believe it will be difficult for Blue Prism to maintain its market share."
  • "Blue Prism comes at a higher price point compared to other solutions on the market."

  • "Compared to other products, the pricing model for this solution is much more convenient, flexible, and adaptable to the Portuguese reality."
  • "I like the way this solution is priced because you can buy a license, or you can buy the software outright."
  • "It comes with a package that costs approximately $20,000 USD per year."
  • "While solutions like UiPath and Blue Prism cost around $11,000-$12,000 for each license, this product costs around $7,000 and you can keep it forever."
  • "I'm only involved in running the product and maintaining the systems, so I can't speak to the cost."
  • "The pricing is quite reasonable. We can run the process with one bot. The limitation is at the server level because they have some resources, and sometimes that is enough. It isn't too expensive, so you can get a good return off of one, and you can also have a pack of five bots that is quite competitive."
  • "From a distributor's perspective, one of the biggest selling points of Automate is its price point."
  • "The cost is a bit high for a small business like ours, but we manage with Fortra's Automate."
