We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"It’s scalable.""The primary focus lies in integrating the three major cloud platforms with Blue Prism Cloud: Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and GCP. This integration goes beyond security measures for the primary template policies. It also includes addressing compliance requirements. For instance, I can incorporate specific compliance templates and policies generated in Blue Prism and integrate them with local templates for ISO 27001 and GDPR, particularly concerning software tools and headsets. This integration eliminates the need for auditing and reviewing technical details individually. Instead, I can simply examine the container report. This approach proves beneficial when clients heavily rely on container environments.""The most valuable feature is the customizability.""Blue Prism Cloud is a stable solution.""It is more secure for complex implementations.""The most valuable feature is the speed at which we are able to implement solutions that can interact through the user interface in the same way that a human being would.""Blue Prism offers the whole package for LPR developers. It's a useful tool to automate anything. As an LPR developer, I think the most important feature is that it lets you get anything into blocks of code that you can use anywhere.""I would say that the stability of Blue Prism is superior to any of the competing products because of the maintainability of the features and the openness of the tool."

"Its integration capabilities are valuable. It has low code/no code features. You have to do minimal coding.""One feature I like is that it makes the matrix easy for an unstructured document.""Kofax is very easy to use, UI-friendly and allows easy data extraction.""Essentially, Kofax TotalAgility as a whole is quite nice. As of now, we've only been able to use and explore its document classification and extraction capabilities. We haven't explored and used the case management capability yet, but the scan and capture capabilities we've been using heavily and those are quite good. Our solutions are mainly around those areas of Kofax TotalAgility. We haven't explored the product a lot, but the capabilities we've explored are good.""The tool is low code which saves you from a developer.""It's a growing tool that offers a complete package of BPM, case management, and capture capabilities.""The most valuable features of this solution are automation, ease of billing processes with the process net, and low to no code development.""Kofax TotalAgility is a great design tool for reading handwritten invoices."

Cons
"I personally would like the solution to be supporting more languages.""I believe they need to become more competitive within the market in order to maintain their market share. We were essentially a Blue Prism shop and sold Blue Prism, but because of the price point, many clients are now looking at competitors.""I would like to see a web-based control room, rather than the one that is in-built with the desktop version.""The product’s pricing needs improvement.""The issue is that it is not dynamic or intelligent.""There's a need to deal with unstructured input with RPA.""If Blue Prism could integrate into Azure SQL because it's essentially an on-prem code, on infrastructure as a service. So, Blue Prism has moved the infrastructure into the cloud, but they haven't necessarily moved the application into cloud-native.""The pricing of the solution could be improved. It's a bit expensive right now. They should work to make it more competitive."

More Blue Prism Cloud Cons →

"There needs to be more accessible certification and better pricing.""Room for improvement would be better OCR functionality in terms of Arabic OCR. There should be better accuracy.""Sometimes there isn't enough accuracy when it comes to extracts.""Kofax TotalAgility could improve the OTR engine. The page OTR engine is not accurate in predicting the data properly. If you provide many features which are good for business process management without an accurate OTR engine people will not want it.""The one thing I would like to see more of right now: is a simplified form creation. That would be the most significant improvement I would like to see in their product.""It would be nice if the tool has more connectors to different systems. It is an expensive solution.""The Transformation Designer of KTA can be made better.""Lacks sufficient inbuilt features."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Pricing can be negotiated in situations where there will be heavy usage."
  • "The licensing structure is complex and the minimum contract length is three years."
  • "We pay about $15,000 per quarter in licensing costs. We don't have to pay for any other extra costs. There isn't, for example, an extra cost for technical support. We just pay the licensing."
  • "There are many RPA solutions available from different vendors and the pricing for Blue Prism is competitive."
  • "Annual licensing costs were somewhere between $5,000 - $10,000 for the development tool. For the control tower, I think fees were about $50,000 annually."
  • "This solution comes at a medium to high price point. They need to work on their pricing to enable smaller enterprises to get the benefit of using the product."
  • "When compared with UiPath, I believe it will be difficult for Blue Prism to maintain its market share."
  • "Blue Prism comes at a higher price point compared to other solutions on the market."

  • "The licensing cost for Kofax TotalAgility is very expensive, though I'm unable to give you the range, the sales representatives of my company say that the product is quite expensive."
  • "It is slightly more expensive than other tools."
  • "Kofax TotalAgility is very expensive."
  • "It has a perpetual license. You pay once in a lifetime for the volume of scans you will do and the number of users you will have. You can have participants or regular users, and you can have developers and administrators. So, once you purchase it, it is for a lifetime, and then every year, you have to pay for the maintenance. There is an annual maintenance cost, which is about 18% of the licensing cost."
  • "The price of this solution is less than some of the competition."
