Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Mostly we use the Design Studio to develop the automation. It's great. We put them into deployment and have the automated process running. It's essentially the Design Studio for Blue Prism and the entire methodology of delivery that is the most useful or valuable to us.""With Blue Prism, you automate the back-end processes. Blue Prism is more like service-side automation. It is not off-circuit automation. It is more like attended automation.""For one, it's easy to set up, and once it gets running it can handle multiple processes in an efficient manner. It's a very robust system.""The most valuable feature is the work queue. This helps the user to create a workflow, and it is a very powerful tool for generating management reports.""The support is good.""It is a very stable tool that allows very complex automations.""We find the stability and the ease of reusing code design valuable.""Blue Prism takes good security measures and is user friendly."

"The solution is very user-friendly.""The initial setup is very easy.""It is a good tool for automation.""It's integrated with all the other products within the Salesforce ecosystem.""Integrating the tool with SAP, EBS, or other ERPs is easy.""The solution’s performance is good.""The solution's ease of use is its most valuable aspect.""The initial setup is straightforward."

Cons
"Blue Prism could be compatible with Oracle's suite of ERPs. We have seen some issues related to this. They could do much better with their intelligent document processing solution. They're pretty behind and don't have attended bots.""The scalability has to do with the latency of what you're connecting to. And so if you're connecting to something that isn't particularly scalable, it doesn't matter how many robots you scale out. You're constrained by the latency and the size of the application or solution or service that the robot is using.""From a monitoring perspective, the way the screens are set up, or the reporting within Blue Prism, is not really user-friendly. You need a technical person to basically put that up. It's not necessarily easily viewable.""We would like to see some desktop automation, although we have been told that the product is not going to be taken in that direction.""The OCR capability, along with the connectivity with some of the legacy tools, needs to be improved.""Blue Prism can improve a lot. The interaction with Google Chrome can be massively improved. I know in the next version there are slight improvements. We don't know how much, but we are comparing them. At this moment, Google Chrome is a massive issue within the toolset, due to the way Google Chrome receives updates regularly but Blue Prism is unable to cope. The spy method of Google Chrome is not as user-friendly as Internet Explorer is. However, Internet Explorer is being discontinued from their support, therefore it's not the best browser to be using. This has caused us major issues in the last six months.""I have found that community support is lacking for this solution compared to competitors.""Optical character recognition has room for improvement."

More Blue Prism Cons →

"I would like it to do pretty much everything out-of-the-box without any need for any customization. However, that is not the case right now. We absolutely have to do some amount of customization with the solution in order to use it out-of-the-box as-is.""This RPA should be under the umbrella of BPM. This is what the future should be.""I would like to have more flexibility in connecting the platform with third-party systems.""IBM should provide specific solutions for specific problems, like templates for invoicing processes, or general templates for creating efficient processes.""Needs better integration with artificial intelligence or with machine-learning.""There are certain limitations in the solution for screen reading.""I would like to improve the efficiency of this solution and the Surface Level Agreement.""We would like more focus on understanding AI and how it can be used to manage exception handling."
