We performed a comparison between Blue Prism and Microsoft Power Automate based on our users’ reviews in four categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison Results: The two solutions have similar ratings with regard to ease of use and stability. However, Blue Prism seems to be slightly more favorable because even though it is more expensive, it has a lot of great features to offer, and also has good service and support, unlike Microsoft Power Automate.
"The credential manager and logs are most valuable. We are using Blue Prism for complex processes because it is easier to troubleshoot in Blue Prism, and the logs are very accurate. It provides the ability to create smaller tasks, which makes it easier to troubleshoot."
"The new features that have come out have been great."
"Blue Prism provides both on-premises and cloud versions."
"The development interface is quite easy to work with."
"It is good for transactions that are very straightforward. It works very nicely with the structured data. It is user-friendly. It is easy to implement and easy to understand."
"All of the processes that we've automated have been completed successfully, and the bots are able to process them as expected."
"I like the cloud features such as IADA and Decipher."
"We started with a very small team and small projects. As the project started getting success with Blue Prism we have a large number of teams now just for automating all the business procedures. Larger time was saved after automating the processes."
"This product is a really easy-to-use solution for quickly developing prototypes."
"It is a very useful solution. You don't need to create an infrastructure in your environment just for triggers or executions. You don't need to invest in the infrastructure. With Power Automate, we can call or trigger custom web services and routines. We are also using the flow for gathering data from Microsoft Dynamics."
"The initial setup isn't too difficult."
"Good core applications."
"I use the product for automation."
"Power Automate is intuitive and easy to use."
"I like Power Automate because it is very easy to use for users who don't have IT knowledge."
"Its integration with the Office 365 ecosystem is most valuable. We use a lot of ready-to-use templates."
"User interface could be improved and a web interface included for easy access to robot information."
"Blue Prism features two layers of documentation. If we could make it in one layer, then it would be easy to develop, and it would take less time for developers to complete the task."
"They should add more OCR engines to it."
"They should incorporate more functionalities in the analytics tool."
"There are many reasons why many companies don't go for Blue Prism. It is not open, and the community addition is not available. Blue Prism provides support through partnership. You need to do a partnership with them, which is a major disadvantage. You contact a Blue Prism team, and they will schedule a meeting with you. They will give you a demo and help you set up everything, whereas with UiPath and Automation Anywhere, you can try the community edition, and if it fits your needs, you simply buy a license for that. The initial setup of Blue Prism is complex. They simply provide a PDF or documentation for you to go through it, whereas, if you go with UiPath or Automation Anywhere, they have several videos and community support to guide you. The documentation of Blue Prism is static. They don't have any sort of videos or open forums. Other tools have got a lot of community support, but Blue Prism doesn't have that. Its training is also hard to attain, and they also don't provide any certification."
"It lacks integration with proper AI, and it is a very complex tool to use in general."
"I have found that community support is lacking for this solution compared to competitors."
"All of the processes that we've automated have been completed successfully, and the bots are able to process them as expected."
"I think the language Microsoft Power Automate uses when you do expressions could be better. What they use is not a popular programming language. It would be better for Microsoft to find a more popular programming language, such as Python. It would take away the whole no-code aspect of the solution but you don't need to write that many lines of code to improve something in a process. Instead of no-code, they could be a low-code environment."
"The solution is not actually satisfying the complex programs that we want to execute."
"Power Automate has fewer features and more limitations in general. It's not as mature a product as some of the others, like UiPath or Automate Anywhere."
"I would like to see better data integration with different sources."
"The solution is still maturing, and it's going to take time for that to happen."
"The OCR part or scanning of documents is missing."
"Microsoft Power Automate could improve by adding more features to the free version it would be good because there are many features that you have to pay for. There are some functions that IT personnel, like myself, have a difficult time using and could be made more user-friendly."
"The solution is difficult to customize. I would like to see more flexibility when it comes to using different kinds of activities."

Hello,
There is a subtle difference between Microsoft's flagship workflow product Microsoft Power Automate and an Enterprise Robotics Automation Product as Blue Prism.
Well, to begin with, the technical community has attempted to use the Power Automate tool to perform Automation as well, but that's not what it is intended for.
Like any other Workflow Software Tool, Product or Framework, Power Automate is a no-code solution. The business use cases, for which it can be applied are purely workflow scenarios.
E.g., if you raise a Leave request in HR software which eventually gets to your manager for approval or a Retail Loan approval workflow Application (in a Banking Application) that has various levels of verification and validation by various departments and individuals before it is either approved or rejected.
Whereas when we talk about Robotics automation (like Blue Prism) it is a purely out and out Automation software that can automate and mimic all human actions while interacting with an application/software/product in a typical IT-driven organization, eventually requiring no or little human interaction while interacting with an application and can replace the human.
Hope I have answered the question to an extent.
Please do let me know if you have any specific queries you want me to answer.
Thanks.
