We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Integrates role-based access control with pre-configured policies for CIS, DISA, HIPAA, PCI, SOX, NIST, and SCAP documentation and remediation.""CLM has a multi-cloud portal because they have the resources to implement in various environments in various ports.""By allowing end users to request their own services, the request process for systems is much quicker and more accurate.""Assesses change impact or completes an audit using multiple dashboard views.""Automates Java EE Application Deployment from an SCM system.""You can tie together your public and private cloud infrastructure into a "single pane of glass".""Supports unattended installs and image-based, script-based, or template-based provisioning."

"MultiWAN and Balance service""I can use the Drag and Drop feature to build dashboards within minutes.""Monitors the infrastructure asset and also monitors as an IT service.""Latest version of tool comes integrated with Jaspersoft reporting solution, giving excellent reports.""What I like about DX Unified Infrastructure Management is that it's a very good product. The feature I found most valuable in the solution is the MCS feature, which is the automatic deployment of the objects you want to monitor. You can set up a system, for example, if it's a Windows machine and I want to test specific devices on it, I could do that through DX Unified Infrastructure Management. That type of deployment is very good because it means you won't miss any monitoring aspect on any server.""Great out-of-the-box capability.""Probe packages and probe deployment.""It is the foundation for our monitoring solution."

Cons
"One of the major problems is that support is not so good.""The installation and configuration can be tricky due to it being built on Remedy.""Needs integrations with other providers to provide a custom public cloud environment."

"We've had issues with pulling reports.""It is a little complex to use versus other softwares.""We had to do some work to make what was more of a business class solution work at an enterprise level.""They need to continue to advance the filter capabilities, and provide more input fields.""The UIM has no features through goods and services yet. ""We would like the navigation of this solution to be more user friendly for our system administrators.""There is also room for improvement in the reporting. It is not really good enough, according to our customers. So what we now usually do is use Power BI to get them the kinds of reports they want.""The only challenge that I have with this solution is the reporting part. The users are not really comfortable with the kind of reports they are getting. Sometimes, they want to see reports in their own format. Customizing those reports with Jasper is not very easy. It could be because of the knowledge gap. If you have the knowledge of how Jasper can be configured to suit customer requirements in terms of reporting, it is good. There was a time a customer complained about one issue related to Netflow analysis. Broadcom has a separate model for that, but the customer wanted everything bundled together. It could also have IP management so that I am able to see or analyze IPs so that the IPs that are already in use don't get assigned."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "This product is expensive compared to other vendors (SolarWinds, ManageEngine)."
  • "The product-price ratio is better than other brands such as Fortinet or SonicWall."
  • "The license cost depends on the number of probes and robots."
  • "Reasonable setup cost and licensing prices."
  • "CAD $400,000 annually."
  • "Customers pay for the license and the support."
  • "Pricing for DX Unified Infrastructure Management isn't cheap at all. It's a complex tool, so you have to pay more. No one is happy with a large bill to pay, but if it's a complex product and you designed a complex solution to be monitored, it'll be your fault that you need to buy an expensive product, and that would be implicit in the design of DX Unified Infrastructure Management. Monitoring is just a small part of it. Sometimes you have to pay a significant amount of money for a complex yet very good solution."
