We performed a comparison between BMC TrueSight Operations Management and Google Cloud's operations suite (formerly Stackdriver) based on real PeerSpot user reviews in four categories. After reading all of the collected data, you can find our conclusion below.
Comparison Results: Google Cloud's operations suite is a more favorable option compared to BMC TrueSight Operations Management as it is more scalable, stable, and user-friendly. Users appreciate its cloud logging feature and the ability to access logs from various platforms. The technical support is highly regarded, and the setup process is straightforward. On the other hand, BMC TrueSight Operations Management needs improvement in several areas, including deeper application monitoring, better cloud monitoring, and more powerful reporting dashboards. Additionally, the pricing is a barrier for some customers.
"What I like best about BMC TrueSight Operations Management is that it allows you to do granular monitoring and improves VM load."
"I use the solution to monitor servers, databases, Windows, Linux, and web services."
"I like the deep-dive detail and end-user metrics data. The synthetic monitor is the best one. The best point of the new one is that there's no need for configuration. You can inject the Java script and start to change major developments in the application. This is a good approach, and we received all the data using this."
"It has provided us with a single location to host all events to be viewed/monitored by our NOC. This has greatly helped them to streamline their processes."
"I believe that the ease of use and UI is great"
"Using the TrueSight platform we can monitor server performance and notify the customers using the integrated ticketing for events. We can let them know if there are any issues with a server, or application, or database."
"The noise reduction for ticketing works much better than we have seen in a lot of other companies."
"The solution has a very good business event manager tool."
"It's easy to use."
"The most valuable feature is the multi-cloud integration, where there is support for both GCP and AWS."
"Google's technical support is very good."
"The features that I have found most valuable are its graphs - if I need any statistics, in Kubernetes or Kong level or VPN level, I can quickly get the reports."
"I like the monitoring feature."
"The cloud login enables us to get our logs from the different platforms that we currently use."
"Our company has a corporate account for Google Cloud and so our systems and clusters integrate really well."
"Provides visibility into the performance uptime."

"The solution is a little obsolete."
"I would like to see a little more out-of-the-box event correlation and expanded AIOps type capabilities. Where you can train your artificial intelligence operations to be able to memorize an issue once you encounter one scenario, so if you encounter that same problem, you can get to the root cause very quickly."
"Deployment requires lots of resources (servers). It has too many consoles."
"The dashboard and performance graphs should include a way to automatically schedule and export reports."
"We have a unique use case because BMC typically sells this solution into enterprises that are deploying it within their IT, versus to a managed services provider like us where we're supporting thousands of customers. Multi-tenancy and the scalability have been challenges along the way, as we've grown... If anything could have gone better as we were ramping this up and adding a lot of volume to it, I would say it's the scalability. That would be one thing that could be improved."
"BMC TrueSight Operations Management could improve the reporting."
"This solution is lacking in application monitoring features. Technical support for this solution also needs improvement, particularly in product knowledge and response time."
"There are some small limitations with this tool in terms of reporting dashboards that fit all of the requirements of the individual customer."
"If I want to track any round-trip or breakdowns of my response times, I'm not able to get it. My request goes through various levels of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and comes back to my client machine. Suppose that my request has taken 10 seconds overall, so if I want to break it down, to see where the delay is happening within my architecture, I am not able to find that out using Stackdriver."
"The product provides minimal metrics that are insufficient."
"This solution could be improved if it offered the ability to analyze charts, such as a solution like Kibana."
"It is difficult to estimate in advance how much something is going to cost."
"It could be even more automated."
"Lacking sufficient operations documentation."
"It could be more stable."
"The logging functionality could be better."
