We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I haven't used other mobile device management solutions, but compared to SCCM, we eliminate a lot of on-premises infrastructure and maintenance by using Intune.""I like the fact that it's integrated with the rest of the Microsoft products, so customers can manage it from their Office 365 portal or Azure portal.""Intune is effective because of the configuration management and endpoint security it provides. The graphical interface makes it easier to configure and deploy devices.""The stability of Microsoft Intune is good.""The reporting and analytics features in Microsoft Intune have been a lifesaver.""I like that it's very good and very simple. I found that we just needed to have a proper subscription for an Intune tenant, and from the subscription, if we have the right role assigned, like the global admin role or the owner role, we can use Microsoft cloud resources. With the help of that, we can do many things like setting up Microsoft Intune in the cloud to create our virtual machines. All these can be done, and the steps are very simple. I really liked it. I like features like Windows Auto-Enrollment. I like it very much because whenever you supply it to the end-user, it will be ready to use immediately. The end-user only needs to provide the user credentials, and then they are good to go. I also really like Cloud PC, which was recently launched on Azure.""Intune device restriction policies enable me to enforce limitations on the device, like blocking the mobile camera or restricting the employees from using and inserting USB devices, including thumb drives and flash drives.""The initial setup is not overly complex or difficult."

"As this solution provides strong support and has multiple use cases, it is worth the cost.""It gives us more speed to deliver services and applications, and we rely on security.""Server Automation's best feature is automated patching. It also helps us automate compliance and report generation. We can even integrate TrueSight Server Automation with a vulnerability management solution to remedy vulnerabilities by applying patches, deploying scripts, or changing registry entries.""BMC support is great. They usually can answer any of our questions in a short amount of time and solve our most complex issues.""Compliance is also huge... By tying it to Atrium Orchestrator, our workflow tool, we'll be able to have a closed loop where we identify a compliance issue, cut CRs, get them approved, and then be able to execute these CRs and more seamlessly fix these issues on the fly.""BladeLogic lets users view the filesystem with minimal authorization to the server.""The solution is stable.""Technical support is good."

"Helps me perform changes in connected infrastructure thanks to the discovery features.""The most valuable feature is the impact analysis."

Cons
"An issue we have run into with Microsoft Endpoint Manager is that we cannot patch third-party products like Adobe and Chrome with it.""What would make this product better is adding more security policies and features in the next upgrade.""Intune doesn't provide much control over Windows servers. It's something we struggle with.""The configuration and pricing can be improved.""Microsoft Intune is not user-friendly to manage and has room for improvement.""It would be great to see on-premises mailboxes and for the solution to have geofencing capabilities.""There can be some added features, such as an improved dashboard. Any new feature that could be a benefit to our customers would be good.""More integration with monitoring tools is needed."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"Resource management on the base servers is sluggish and could be improved.""The setup of this suite is very complicated. It needs to be simplified.""I would like to see more container integration in the next release of this solution.""TrueSight falls short when we are trying to gather large amounts of data from multiple servers. We need to do these tasks manually because there is no option to populate the data and export it to Excel, which is required. For example, let's say I'm trying to find out how many patches are missing on the servers and which ones have been installed. It's hard to automatically pull each server's data in an Excel format.""A better CLI Database cleanup tool would help us with our regular maintenance of BladeLogic Server Automation.""BMC TrueSight Server Automation's scripting needs improvement.""Scaling the environment during setup at larger organizations with 10,000 employees gets complicated.""We've had to increase RAM and CPU processing in order to alleviate some of the sluggishness during patching."

More BMC TrueSight Server Automation Cons →

"The native UI should be simplified because it is outdated and a little bit over-complicated."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."
