We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The first thing that we liked about this solution is that administrators do not have access to private folders.""The application is very light in terms of uploading and downloading files.""The interface is very good.""Box is very user-friendly; more so than SharePoint.""We've never had a penetration. We've never had a security issue that their support didn't solve. We love their audit trail. We can know exactly when a collaborator opens. We love how you can define a collaborator.""Governance and ease of use are why I think a lot of people like Box, including ourselves. Basically, we're concerned about what information is being sent to Box, so we use a lot of the Box governance features to make sure that what is being sent to Box is appropriate. If it is not appropriate, it is not allowed to be sent. It is also pretty easy to use. It is the easiest to use for customers and for technologists.""Box is very realistic when it comes to sharing capabilities."

"The program is very stable.""The solution is very easy to scale.""Simplicity while competently serving the needs of secure document storage and sharing is part of the beauty of the product.""The most valuable feature is the ability to share files.""Google has a lot of tools. They are really useful and they are really simple to use.""The integration with Gmail, Calendar, and Google Meet is the most valuable.""It allows multiple users to work simultaneously on a document.""This solution has become an enhanced product over the years. It is more stable and they keep adding features."

Cons
"I would like to see improvements made in the ability to integrate with other online sharing systems.""Better integration with other solutions is needed.""The integration with other products should be improved.""The UI should be faster. Sometimes it lags when switching between documents.""I recommend doing the trial first, because it's not cheap ware. It's not overly expensive, but it's not cheap ware, and enterprise has a minimum number of users.""I haven't really come across a case where we're not able to use it for what it is, so I don't really have anything holding us up or any customers holding us up at this point that I know of. There are always some limitations, but as a technologist, I just live with them, and there is always room for improvement, but I don't have anything quantifiable.""If there was a plugin that added some sort of toolbar in Office, that would be great."

"I am not sure what will happen if you forget to renew your license.""A separate interface to give users a summary of how they've shared items on the drive would be useful. You can end up having a lot of stuff and the sheer amount can end up making users feel a little bit lost in terms of knowing who they've actually shared items with.""There is really not too much that I think needs to be added to the product to improve it. Some of the features within Sheets could be enhanced so this product is a more complete replacement for Excel.""I would like to see better integration with Google Docs, the Google landscape in general, and other environments.""In the free version, managing the files and folders and data is a little difficult.""The ability to share documents with outside clients can be improved. It is difficult to share documents with outside clients, and that's why I am looking at some other solution. If you use Google Drive, they want you to use all of their Google Suite, but not everybody uses Google Suite for document creation. It is not a great solution if you are working with a company that doesn't use Google Suite.""It should have more features similar to Office 365. To improvise more, they should compare their features with Office 365.""It's a cloud-based product that is stable and secure, but I would like to see more security features added."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"The pricing of this solution is better than Dropbox.""I believe Box is cheaper than SharePoint.""They are very price competitive when pushed. Initially, they come out with a standard list price, but they are willing to be very competitive. The Box price was pretty much equal to or lower than the Citrix price, and Box has more features.""There's a free version that allows you to use it with almost full-feature access. Even in the free version, it gives you all you need."

More Box Pricing and Cost Advice »

"The program is very affordable.""It is inexpensive and the cost is per user per month.""There is a monthly fee that we pay for the use of this solution and the price is fair.""It has a yearly license."
