Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Traceability reporting is inbuilt and includes all your requirements.""Good for managing stories, sprints, hydration and releases.""Work distribution among team members and accountability for completion with a clearer picture.""Agile templates give us a standard methodology for every Agile project. Also, the ability to create our own object types and linkages to features/epics allows us to enhance the verification of feature readiness.""All of the features work together to provide a powerful holistic solution - from the dashboard all the way through to security.""We can track the status of test cases (passed or saved) in a single view. Based on releases and other attributes, we generate various reports and extract metrics from the data."

"Helps me determine how fast I can launch, go to production.""The main ways that I used it when I was in it day to day was keeping up with the burn rate within the teams. Also, to track at the feature level too, as far as how we were doing with actually being able to deliver that feature.""The transparency it allows us to provide, both from the team level all the way through the executive level within the company and the work that we are doing.""It is very stable. It has been on the market a long time.""Tech support is very responsive, helpful, and available.""It's very user-friendly.""It scales very well. It improves in technology constantly and gets up to speed with the latest and greatest.""The most valuable features of Rally Software are the executive dashboards, ease of use, and many other features. They have encapsulated everything that a GI can do, such as monitoring, maintaining, and then releasing. It's continuous integration and development."

Cons
"Teams need clearer pictures of resource availability in charts and dashboards along with plans.""Some administrative tasks are difficult to perform. These could be simplified.""Lacks ability to customize and reporting can be slow.""We have encountered issues with stability. We have seen where the entire system kind of goes for a toss when certain people use certain types of queries, which are very costly. Then the system kind of slows down a bit, and we have to monitor it.""The solution is very heavily vendor dependent."

More IBM Engineering Workflow Management Cons →

"I think there is a missing link with the development activity. Some developers are pushing in new versions of the code, but you cannot make the link from the user story to a specific application version.""Rally Software is highly complex, and it takes some effort to get everything tied together. But once you do, it's a satisfying experience, and the result looks beautiful. Azure, ServiceNow, and Jira do not have all the features that Rally Software provides in one place, making it an exceptional tool for project management.""Customization features may not be exposed or unavailable, so people may be looking for them. So, customization is an area people have told me is more desirable.""One problem I see is that if there is a dependent user story - for example, if my team is working on one thing and there is a dependent user story from another team - we can have a dependency created but we don't know if there is a change of status from the other team. That is something which is very important for Agile Central to look into so that if the other team makes any changes we will be notified as well.""There are few customisation options. For instance, the workflow for story cards cannot be changed out of the box from the standard (Defined, In-Progress, Completed and Accepted).""I'd like to be able to color code timeboxes, so I have an easy visual way to track the success of sprints.""In Rally Software, the connection with GitLab and GitHub needs improvement.""More customization capabilities would be helpful. Providing a little bit more structure around how the system should be set up in terms of the hierarchy structure might be helpful as well."
