We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The identity lifecycle support is definitely valuable because we are a complex organization, and there is a lot of onboarding, movement, and offboarding in our organization. We have 31,000 users, and there are a lot of users who are constantly onboarding, offboarding, and moving. So, we need to make sure that these activities are supported. In old times, we used to do everything manually. Everyone was onboarded, offboarded, or moved manually. So, from a business point of view and an economics point of view, identity lifecycle is most valuable. From a security point of view, access review is the most important feature for us.""The most valuable feature of Omada is its API connectivity, which allows seamless integration with various services like SAP, GRC, and Microsoft licenses.""The support response time and the freedom from strange bugs and strange things happening in the software are valuable.""Omada offers a technical solution that addresses both our needs.""It scales in terms of numbers and types of identities. It can govern the on-premise applications as well as the cloud applications. So, it can manage hybrid environments with all types of identities and various load amounts.""When we started with identity and access management, we cleaned up and skipped 500 accounts. Therefore, there are a lot of people who are still in our system. Using this tool, we have cleaned up a lot of accounts for ourselves as well as our partners and suppliers. So, we can manage everything now.""I appreciate all the support we receive from Omada.""The teams we work with at Omada provide great insights and support. Overall, it has been a pleasure working with them. That's the part we value the most."

"It's more of a risk reduction. It takes passwords that are not being managed properly and manages them automatically which really reduces risk."

More Leiberman RED Identity Management [EOL] Pros →

"It has improved our user management. It is definitely streamlined.""Connector Xpress and Policy Xpress and the new interface.""It's a very useful tool that has improved our client's security, from day one.""Streamlines user access, consolidates applications.""Using the implementation guide, I was able to implement the solution with ease.""The most valuable aspects of Symantec Identity Governance and Administration are all the features, it is the most complete solution on the market. It has features, such as scanners and portals, it has everything.""Provisioning engine (on the back-end, separate from front-end components, that's part of layered architecture).""It has good endpoint support and endpoint connectivity to different versioning endpoints."

Cons
"When the re-certification process is launched that makes Omada very slow. There are performance issues in the current version.""Omada Identity has a steep learning curve.""The web GUI can be improved.""I would like to see them expand the functionality of the tool to continue to be competitive with the monsters out there. For example, they could add functionality on the authentication side, functionality that Octa and SailPoint have. But they should do that while maintaining the same simplicity that makes Omada a product of choice today.""The solution should be made more agile for customers to own or configure.""The backend is pretty good but the self-service request access screen, the GUI, needs improvement. It's an old-fashioned screen. Also, Omada has reports, but I wouldn't dare show them to the business because they look like they're from 1995. I know they are working on these things and that’s good, because they’re really needed.""Omada could make it a bit more convenient to send emails based on events automatically. Having that functionality is critical for us to maintain transparency.""Omada could communicate better with us about the product roadmap. We haven't gotten any updates about it. The user interface is often a bit difficult to understand. It isn't optimized for small screens, so it doesn't display all of the information clearly, so users need to scroll a lot."

More Omada Identity Cons →

"They should improve the application password management. The capability to manage high availability application passwords is its biggest shortcoming."

More Leiberman RED Identity Management [EOL] Cons →

"In the next release, there should be provisioning of your certifications.""The reporting functions.""They provide a framework to develop your own connectors. A connector is a piece of software that integrates with the solutions that are not a part of the support matrix. Currently, it is difficult to create these connectors in this solution. Other solutions, such as NetIQ Identity, provide a better way to create your own connector. Currently, there is no cloud version. It should have a cloud version.""I find the API boring. I also faced issues while integrating with CA SSO.""Reporting could be improved.""They should easier and better integration with other software.""Provisioning has a dependency on Windows.""We would like to see integration with analytics. Also, for them to be more efficient regarding discovering and implementing new rules."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "The pricing is too high for SMBs."
  • "Omada continues to be very competitive on pricing, especially on the Omada cloud product."
  • "The initial total cost of ownership to implement Omada Identity is not small. The TCO for the implementation is as high as any other solution. However, the cost of maintaining the solution is at par or lower than competitors, including adding more features or maintaining the system after the initial deployment or installation to make sure that they are available for users to use or extending the functionalities of those activities. Those maintenance costs are lower than other vendors, but the initial cost of getting the system installed is still high."
  • "It is licensed per managed user per year."
  • "There were a lot of administrator, partner, and supplier accounts for people who were no longer working for us but still in the system. So, we reduced the number of users no longer with the company, which saved us some money on licensing."
  • "It's a fair price for the on-premises system. Compared with what we had before, it's much cheaper and we get all the modules in one. We tried to go with the cloud, but it was far too expensive."
  • "From an on-prem point of view, the cost is quite transparent and reasonable. The direct cost is primarily for licenses and maintenance on licenses."
  • "My client deals directly with the Omada Identity team in terms of licensing. I never look at pricing, so I'm not aware of how much the solution costs, but it's worth the money. Often, when you begin to use Omada Identity and it takes a while to set up, it'll be irreversible, and you'd depend on and focus more on the functionality of the solution, rather than its price tag."

  • "The price is based on the number of users."
  • "Pricing and licensing models are adequate and reasonable."
  • "The connector is free, and bundled with the product."
  • "I do not recall the approximate prices or licensing models, although I do so that it was priced per user number."
  • "The product has a good price in competition with another product with the same solution."
  • "Symantec keeps increasing the price. I rate its pricing a seven on a scale of ten."
  • "The price is flexible for our existing customers."
