We performed a comparison between CA Identity Suite [EOL] and Oracle Identity Governance based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, SailPoint, One Identity and others in Identity Management (IM)."We don't have to go in and do a lot of the work that we did before. It may have saved us somewhere in the range of 10 to 30 percent of the time we spent on provisioning access."
"The teams we work with at Omada provide great insights and support. Overall, it has been a pleasure working with them. That's the part we value the most."
"Omada's onboarding features reflect our processes for onboarding new employees well. That is the primary reason we use this solution. We use role-based access control. I'm not sure how much it has improved our security posture, but it's made managing identities more convenient."
"The support for the validity of the resources is valuable. The tool allows resource assignments within a validity period so that the managers do not have to remember to revoke the access once the work is done."
"What I like most is that we can always find a solution, and we can also find the cause when something goes wrong. I like that the most because everything is in one way or another traceable. That is what I like most. I like its reliability."
"The benefits of Omada Identity include a holistic way of viewing access, the ability to give people access, and automation."
"We used to have a problem where an employee's access wasn't terminated when they left the company. Now, we have much better visibility into and control over who has access."
"It has a lot of out-of-the-box features. It is flexible, and there are a lot of possibilities to configure and extend it. It is user-friendly. It has an interface that is end-user or business-user friendly."
"You can spin up IDM or Identity Suite in a few hours and it is ready to use."
"The most valuable feature is the re-certification campaign capabilities."
"With the Virtual Appliance, combined with CA Identity Manager and GovernanceMinder as one solution, it eliminates having multiple infrastructure requirements, multiple products, and gives a holistic view of the access granting."
"Nowadays it is offered as a Virtual Appliance, and that saves considerable time for installing and controlling it."
"The most valuable feature is the speed of implementation. Now with the Virtual Appliance, it's much faster. In the past, to implement this kind of solution, it would take so many weeks. Now, it takes one day, or minutes, and we have the deployment ready."
"I found all of them quite valuable, especially the identity manager, governance, and identity portal. All the features are helpful."
"The most important feature is the connectors. Without the connectors, it can do nothing."
"Identifying connector framework for unifying provisioning capabilities from OIM."
"It has a very good response time."
"The most valuable feature is the flexible automation functionality which has optimized our user access privilege management. This has allowed us to create and delete user accounts more accurately and efficiently. This feature has enabled us to save time and resources needed to perform mundane manual tasks."
"The most valuable feature is the user manager certification that approves or removes user access."
"I have found the OIM Connector framework, based on ICF, to be the most valuable feature."
"The most valuable features in Oracle Identity Governance are identity and access management."
"Understanding what a customer is using, what they are looking for, and allowing permissions is a challenge. We use the information we get in order to understand the behavior of the customer beyond the security and to understand what they have been doing in the last month. It's a nice way to understand what is attracting the customer and what they are clicking. That could be implemented by using this kind of application."
"Omada Identity has two main issues that need to be solved or improved the most. One is its setup or installation process because it's complex and cumbersome. I'm talking about the process for on-premises deployment because I've never tried the cloud version of Omada Identity. Setting up the cloud version should be much easier. The second area for improvement in Omada Identity is that it's piggybacking on Microsoft's complex way of having all kinds of add-ons, extensions, or setups, whether small or large, such as the new SQL Server, and it's cumbersome to make sure that everything works. Omada Identity is a complex solution and could still be improved."
"There's a challenge with handling large amounts of data in this system."
"The backend is pretty good but the self-service request access screen, the GUI, needs improvement. It's an old-fashioned screen. Also, Omada has reports, but I wouldn't dare show them to the business because they look like they're from 1995. I know they are working on these things and that’s good, because they’re really needed."
"The solution should be made more agile for customers to own or configure."
"The Omada support response time has room for improvement."
"The Omada Identity SaaS version doesn't provide all the features Omada Identity on-premise provides."
"The user interface should have a more flexible design, where you can change it to your requirement."
"Omada could make it a bit more convenient to send emails based on events automatically. Having that functionality is critical for us to maintain transparency."
"The documentation can be improved because sometimes we have some technical issues that were not documented and we have to rely on support to solve them. Then there are issues around getting the architecture, but it's challenging to get the architecture."
"I would like synchronization when a mapping is added between end points. Currently, the synchronization is not complete. It would be great if this synchronization happened immediately."
"The connectors for the identity and governance part could use some improvement, by way of adding more areas. They need more development to cover more target applications."
"If there was a seamless integration between portal and IdentityMinder, then that would help a bit."
"It's a complex solution, so it will take time in terms of deployment."
"The solution needs to improve its web interface in the next release."
"The platform could be enhanced with additional features."
"Oracle Identity Governance, particularly version 12c, can handle multiple scenarios, but for a regular user, I found the use cases not that extensive, so this is an area for improvement. The implementation process for Oracle Identity Governance is also a bit more complex than how you implement competitor products, and this is another area for improvement in the solution. Technical support for Oracle Identity Governance also needs some improvement. Another area for improvement in Oracle Identity Governance is its documentation. Currently, it's lacking when compared to SailPoint. What I'd like to see in the next release of Oracle Identity Governance is a bit more scope for AI-based Identity governance. If the solution has built-in intelligence, that will give it more leverage. Another feature I'd like to see in Oracle Identity Governance in the future is the option for managers to provide access to others via mobile devices or phones."
"Oracle Identity Governance can capture a lot of loads, it's stable. However, we once had a problem two years ago, but it is now resolved. There are some issues still present, but they're operational. They don't impact the customers. There are some improvements that can be done."
"Identity Governance is a difficult tool to work with. You have to input many models to understand what is happening with the logins. The user interface is not so good. And a lot of the features we use aren't available out of the box."
"I would like to see more segregation managed through Oracle Identity Manager."
"Simplify & add more functionality to Identity Cloud Service (IDCS)."
