"Scalability is the reason we bought the product to begin with. It was designed from the ground up for carrier-grade services, and we are in effect a MSP ourselves. So we were really interested in looking at something to be able to handle the multi-tenancy and scale as large as possible. This was the only solution that we really considered at that level.""One of the most valuable features is the ease of use.""We have been able to get a little bit better at seeing more things in real time and more just in time, so we're less reactionary.""One feature I like about CA Performance Management is the certification of the devices.""It can be easily integrated with other systems and is powerful enough to collect data from a large number of devices.""I can get it to run a report showing, for instance, what root drives are in the critical range in terms of being full, like 90 percent full, and disseminate that information to the other areas of the organization.""We're able to present data from multiple back-end collection sources into a single dashboard for the users. So they don't have to go to multiple locations to get data about a particular item, or device.""It saves time having it all on one place, so you do not have to jump around from different tools and try to merge the data. It is already done for you."

"The solution's most valuable feature is its ability to reach most of our network devices and get the most from them.""The most valuable feature of ManageEngine OpManager is the management of the virtual machine and the host machine.""The most valuable feature is the monitoring alerts. The administrators are immediately notified and can do the required action immediately. This is the feature we value and use the most.""We find the networking aspect of this solution to be the most valuable.""The features we found most valuable in ManageEngine OpManager are the probe server and reporting because they're pretty good features.""We don't have to keep an eye on it; it has a good automation option, which keeps us informed. It gives very less false positives. Overall, a really great product.""Some of the useful features are NetFlow and analytics.""Flexibility in the two view dashboard helps viewers and admins get the information they need about the fetwork in a flash."

Cons
"The Wi-Fi side needs improvement."

More Juniper Mist Premium Analytics Cons →

"There are some areas in the technology right now, like with VMs, where we are lacking with our abilities to get inside the VM to monitor traffic within the machine.""DX Performance Management should increase high availability. If one of my two data centers goes offline and the other is operational, I need a seamless transition from the primary to the secondary data center. It's crucial to maintain consistent monitoring of the devices during this transition. Therefore, I require continuous, 24/7 monitoring of my system using this tool.""This may be available by now but for server space, when it comes to the disk file system, I'd like to see that graphically represented, or the trend, rather than what I'm seeing now.""It would be helpful if CA provided online training for its customers.""I think it would be helpful having a more comprehensive set of certifications so that I could natively deploy devices to my environment and the tool would immediately recognize and immediately be able to provide relevant performance information without a lot of tuning on my part.""We would like to be capable of reporting network performance with a report strictly focused on the times outside business hours, which CA PM does not currently support. We have discontinued the use of the Business Hours Filtering until CA engineers are able to resolve or offer guidance.""Some of the individual report views, the way some of the columns sort, there's room for improvement in giving us more flexibility in being able to sort reports based, for example, on what columns the metrics fall under.""This tool gathers so much data, which makes it hard to convert over. To upgrade it, you really need the solution backed up. That is the issue that we are facing right now."

More DX Performance Management Cons →

"You cannot resolve 100 percent of the issues yourself. You would need to reach out to the support. It needs to be cheaper.""It is sometimes difficult to manage the user interface. It can get very complicated.""This product is little bit slow sometimes. It may be that we need to change the configuration to improve performance.""The storage level monitoring needs improvement. It needs storage level monitoring on the server itself. That feature is lacking right now.""The licensing model is confusing.""ManageEngine OpManager could improve by having a better cloud presence.""We encounter challenges in monitoring cloud services. I would also appreciate it if there was someone available to walk you through the documentation.""With regard to configurations, however, it would be nice to have more documentation on SNMP configurations. For example, if I want to add a new vendor, it would be great if ManageEngine provided the requirements for that vendor, such as the commands needed."

Pricing and Cost Advice
Information Not Available
  • "We were looking at other vendors in the marketplace for NetFlow, and CA just beat everybody else in price, cost, and the size to implement. "
  • "Do your homework and know how many devices you will be managing out of the gate. Be sure to project what your growth will be each year."
  • "They should provide more scalable licensing for the product."
  • "I like the licensing model because it's device-based."
  • "We purchase a license to use the solution every three years and we have multiple contracts. They have been increasing the price annually. We have a baseline for three years and then we need to pay the difference from the baseline, and we are in the process of negotiating a new price for all the licenses we need. The price overall is affordable."
  • "The tool's pricing is based on the number of network devices."
  • More DX Performance Management Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "As far as cost, it was around six hundred thousand rands ($40,500) for the year, for the renewals. That's the total cost for a four thousand node system including support and maintenance."
  • "The licensing costs depend on the number of devices and accounts that are being monitored by the solution."
  • "The initial cost is low and the add-ons are reasonable."
  • "We had perpetual licenses. The cost was around 36,000 for OPManager, and then you'd have the yearly maintenance fee of 2,000 or 3,000."
  • "The licensing is on a yearly basis and the pricing is on the cheaper side."
  • "In terms of pricing, I would rate it a two out of five. It was expensive."
  • "ManageEngine OpManager has a three-tier licensing model."
  • "We have a standard license for ManageEngine OpManager. We purchased the license for one year and now we are upgrading it soon."
