We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We have been able to save costs using this solution compared to the product we used before.""We have a lot of users, almost 1,800, and we needed something affordable, stable and something that could be used by a large financial company. This solution truly fit the bill.""It is an absolutely stable solution.""The most valuable feature of Camunda Platform is its Microservices architecture, which is easily integrable with APIs.""Camunda Platform has a very good interface for workflow and business process design.""The solution is easily compatible with HTML forms and HTML language programming and that is the most significant part.""The modeler is useful for creating the flow. The way to access the data through their REST API is also valuable. This is what we're using right now.""Being able to use a Java-based solution makes the product flexible."

"It is a scalable solution.""This is one of the best solutions and it is easy to implement.""The most valuable feature is probably the nature of it.""When comparing my experience with Celonis and Signavio, I can discern the distinctions between these two platforms. However, I'm unable to differentiate between ARAs and add-ons, as that falls outside my scope of familiarity. Regarding Celonis, it comes with its set of advantages and disadvantages. Notably, it boasts robust features like action flows, task mining, and seamless integration with AML programming. Conversely, Signavio lacks action flows and instead relies on action segments and tasks for interaction. This discrepancy is a significant factor setting Selenium and SecureView apart. In the context of Signavio, it offers a combination of BPMN and process discovery, a feature absent in Celonis. This tandem of BPMN and process insight contributes to Signavio’S potency. Meanwhile, Celonis primarily features the process miner tool, setting it apart from Signavio. These variations collectively outline the numerous differences existing between Celonis and Signavio.""Process Manager is really helpful in building process maps. Creating them is really easy; the program is user-friendly.""The most valuable feature of SAP Signavio Process Manager is the ability to do business process models.""It is a very scalable solution.""The ability to leave comments in the Collaboration Hub is a good and easy way for the employees to give feedback on the processes."

Cons
"We're trying to put the people from the business to do it. We are using APIs, and we have open APIs to define our APIs and the request-response that each call requires and sends. So, to base the mapping on that, there was nothing to help. I know that with some tools, such as Oracle tools, you can see the input and expected output. With drag and drop, you can take one property from the left and drag it to the right, and it does all the mapping itself, but that's not the case with Camunda. So, for me, this is something that can be improved.""I don't like the UI of the Camunda Platform, I have found the Signavio solution to be much better for me to create the process designs and execute them. Additionally, I have found the tools in the Camunda Platform are not compatible with some of my other tools. They should improve this in the future.""It would be helpful to have more readily available use cases on the internet. Camunda's documentation feels less comprehensive.""We have faced problems with the performance.""They could provide more documentation regarding the integration of different programming languages.""The only drawback is the time that it takes to have a complete set of workflows implemented on the Camunda platform.""It is not difficult to change existing processes. The difficulty was in integration, for example, to call an external web API, and in the security capabilities, to use a vault for secrets. That was difficult.""It has a Postgres database at the backend, and it is very difficult to scale if you increase the number of processes running. We did hit some barriers. We were able to overcome them, but it was a problem. Camunda has another product called Camunda Cloud, which supposedly doesn't have the same scalability problems, but we are not using Camunda Cloud because the set of features is smaller than Camunda On-Premises. So, its scalability can be improved. Because it has a single database, it is more difficult to scale if you have a huge success."

More Camunda Cons →

"Technical support has been somewhat challenging; there hasn't been much visibility on how to create a ticket or integrate with SAP.""I would like to be able to link a single word within a textual description directly to the glossary.""For us, it would help a lot if this solution had floating licenses.""The product's pricing could be improved.""I think the interface itself can improve a bit. I think the interface is still stuck about a decade in the past, if I may be so brutal about it. Some of the buttons are really small, so you can't even see them. I think it needs upgrading to the 21st century with apps and the way we use mobile phones.""The user administration, the user-group administration, and the license models need improvement.""Signavio Process Manager needs to have an integrated document management system to better work with processes that rely heavily on documents and document flows.""There is room for improvement in analytics. People don't realize it, but the world has changed in the last six to eight months. Customers want to see AI like ChatGPT and ML capabilities in all aspects of business processes and reporting."
