Quotes From Members

We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"The most valuable aspect is the authentication and the SSO.""It is a good solution for hybrid environments and VPN.""The two-factor login is great. I receive a message and just have to press okay.""It meets our security needs very well. It is easy to use, and documentation is also available. It is also very stable and scalable, and its support is also very good. We are satisfied with this solution.""The push notifications and the integrations they offer are valuable. Their mobile app is very useful. It is very easy to use.""The multi-factor authentication process and the geo-locking features are great."

"The most valuable feature is that it also works as a next-gen firewall because it has security features.""The feature that I find to be the most valuable is the bandwidth aggregation.""It's a cloud-based solution that integrates well with everything.""The WAN aggregation feature is the most valuable.""It's a pretty straightforward solution.""The scalability is quite good.""I haven't had any trouble, and practically forget that I'm using it."

Cons
"Removing the need for a password would be a positive change as well as the ability to cover all the different enterprise applications. They don't have coverage for everything.""The dashboard needs to be improved.""Certain customers can not use this product because it is cloud-based.""Its documentation must be in French because we are a French-speaking country. They should also provide more training documentation. Its management interface should also be improved. They should also improve its update period. If I compare its update period with other products such as Palo Alto firewalls, this solution is really slow in updates.""The only time I really had some negative feedback for them was about the UI of their mobile app, but they improved it in the last version. It is good on the functionality side, but their pricing model is a little bit weird. Currently, there is no price advantage in signing up for yearly contracts. If you are on a monthly term or a yearly contract, you basically pay the same price, and that is very unusual. Normally, there is a discount when someone signs up for the 12-month system.""We had some trouble with the password reset function."

More Duo Security Cons »

"They should add more sophisticated security features. It should also be integrated into the cloud.""They can't do one-to-one NAT (Network Address Translation) in AP (their access point), and that is something that Palo Alto can do.""I would like to see better integration with identity providers.""Its functionality is a bit limited in some areas as compared to a Cisco solution. It is not as granular. It doesn't have the manageability, feature set, and capabilities of a larger or an enterprise-level solution. It just needs a more robust feature set and granularity.""The price could be better.""We would like the product to continue to improve its security.""Cato Networks security could be better."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"During testing we are allowed a certain number of licenses for free.""Its price is reasonable. It is not highly expensive.""Their pricing model is a little bit weird. Currently, there is no price advantage in signing up for yearly contracts. There are no additional costs to the standard licensing costs.""Our licensing fee is currently on an annual basis."

More Duo Security Pricing and Cost Advice »

"The price is not an issue for us, as it is priced more competitively than some other vendors.""If you compare with VeloCloud, the price is the same or even cheaper.""You pay yearly based on the speed of your network. If you increase the speed of your network, you increase the cost for your throughput. It is by bandwidth for the most part and then licenses for VPN. There is some per-seat licensing for VPN access, but the majority of it is minimal. It is like $30 a year per client. The rest is based on how much bandwidth you'll use. You pay for that upfront for the year, and if you have to increase it, you increase it, and then they let you send more data through. There are no additional costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.""Cato Networks seems more expensive than Cisco Meraki."
