We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"With the help of data mining, we can identify different costs. Celonis does background research into the data from the different solutions and puts it into the dashboard and so we can see the differences between the pricing over the previous years.""The training material is good. The information is very systematic, detailed, and comprehensive. They have a training video for almost every single thing, which makes it easier to know how to use the tool.""Its usage is relatively straightforward after the UI is set up. There's a lot of pre-built analysis that can be utilized, which saves a lot of time. Overall, it is a good product.""The solution offers very good division management.""The solution offers a very good user interface.""I have found the automatic mapping of the processes themselves to be a valuable feature.""It is a very strong and very powerful solution. You can seamlessly process a large amount of data. It doesn't take a long time to do the analysis. It provides the analysis matrix, which basically includes all the analytics that need to be performed for the transactions. You can drill down really fast within graphics. You can double click and drill down to specific areas for more details. It is very intuitive and easy to use.""For the amount of information that it processes, it works relatively fast. I like the visual presentation and the interface is intuitive. I also like that Celonis has a learning academy."

Cons
"In the next release, I would like for them to integrate more custom features to ease the process of having multiple solutions. I would like to be able to integrate it with other solutions.""We want to see its linkage to Robotic Process Automation. We would also like to see how can it lead to the implementation side and whether the transition is smooth.""It should be more flexible. It is not particularly flexible in the way it works, and it is quite rigid. It has some very strong structures that you have to follow. It could certainly be made more user-friendly to understand and should have fewer requirements for manipulation of the data to create the visualizations. We should also get better support from Celonis, and they also need to make the licensing model slightly different.""The solution needs to implement more automation aspects into the product. Right now, it's lacking.""It would help if they had more integrations and automation features.""In the solution, you have access to how the process is, and are able to integrate that with other systems that allow you to make changes to the process itself, this process can be improved.""Similar to what SAP is doing with S/4HANA, Celonis should allow business users to create their own analytics tab. In my previous organization, business analysts were the only ones who were actively building these reports with Celonis, whereas SAP platforms are now allowing the business users to create their own reports with graphics and all other things based on the data that is presented. This is one thing that Celonis needs. Currently, just the technical teams are doing that. Sometimes, when we were looking at five years of data, it used to take up to 3 seconds. It wasn't bad, but we had to wait a little bit. It probably also had to do with the server. I don't know if it can be used on mobile devices. If not, that will be the way to go. They should mobilize it to allow people to see these reports on their mobile devices.""The price could be better, but complexity is the biggest problem. Celonis is quite easy to operate once the customizations are done. You need a large amount of skill and knowledge to work with the tool. You need to understand it and know more than the basics."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"It is quite a significant investment. From a cost perspective, they need to reevaluate the licensing model. The cost is justified, but they need to make the licensing model slightly different.""Evaluating the price of the solution can be a difficult question. It is all about the business case and the return of the investments. That is typically how we also see this type of solution. It depends very much on the return. The entry-level is focused on enterprise size companies, for the SMB segment is it is out of their range. It is definitely expensive.""I was not involved in that, but I am sure it was cost-effective for them. That's why they made the decision to take it.""Celonis is expensive. It's not for mid or low-sized enterprises because the license price is high. Overall, it's quite pricey compared to anything else that I have heard about. But the good thing is that they don't charge per user. They charge for the data model.""The cost of the software for us or the client is on the higher end.""The solution requires an annual license. There is room for improvement because it is priced for organizations and not for individuals. For an individual, it would be too expensive for them to use it."

Overview

Celonis is a New York- and Munich-based enterprise software company. We’re providing something unique - an intelligent business solution, powered by process mining technology, that empowers companies to visualize and improve the flow of their processes in order to transform the way they operate.

Cutting-edge process mining: The fast track to improved business performance
Taking the time to study the flow of your operations is always a good idea – no matter how your business is doing. When things are going well, you may discover ways to make them even better. And if it's not going so well, you need to be sure to understand the real rather than the perceived nature of the problem.

So what's the best way to analyze your operations?
There are basically two options. The first is to ask employees, customers and other stakeholders for feedback. The second way is Process Mining. In other words: you ask the data.

Gathering information from the people involved with your business can be very valuable, but it may not give you the full picture. Process Mining with QPR ProcessAnalyzer will.

QPR ProcessAnalyzer is an enterprise-grade software product for advanced process mining. Smart, quick-to-install, and easy-to-use, it rapidly studies your operational data and immediately identifies concrete ways to improve your business.
