Pricing and Cost Advice
"I suggest that you pay attention to the product pricing because while there are no tricks, and the licensing model is transparent, the final numbers may surprise you.""The pricing is tremendous and super cheap. It is shockingly cheap for what you get out of it. I am happy with that. I hope that doesn't get reported back and they increase the prices. I love the pricing and the licensing makes sense. It is just assets: The more stuff that you have, the more you pay.""Right now, we have licenses on 500 machines, and they are not cheap.""The license for CloudGuard Posture Management is about $80 a year, and it's based on your cloud footprint, not the number of users. So you could have a million users, and it doesn't matter.""It is a very straightforward licensing model that is based on the number of assets you are discovering and managing with the solution.""The licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads (number of instances) within one license with no additional nor hidden charges. If you want to have 200 workloads under Dome9, then you need to take out two licenses for that. Also, it does not have any impact on cloud billing, as data is shared using the API call. This is well within the limit of free API calls provided by the cloud provider.""Licensing and costs are straightforward, as they have a baseline of 100 workloads within one license and no additional charges.""In the beginning, the price of Dome9 was cheap, whereas now it is not."

Overview

Check Point CloudGuard provides cloud native security for all your assets and workloads, across multi-clouds, allowing you to automate security everywhere, with unified threat prevention and posture management. The only solution that provides context to secure your cloud with confidence.

Organizations are embracing multiple public cloud platforms, resulting in increased complexity of management which impacts security and risk. Additionally, the built-in security tools that come with various cloud platforms are unique to each, compounding the challenge of consistently managing risk across all clouds in a multi-cloud world. This challenge renders security operations time consuming and ineffective. As the attack surface expands, organizations need to protect from not only from risks of configuration and management of the application elements themselves, but also from risks originating via cloud application programming interfaces (APIs) and UIs.

FortiCWP offers security administrators and DevOps teams the ability to evaluate their cloud configuration security posture, detect potential threats originating from misconfiguration of cloud resources, analyze traffic across cloud resources (in and out of the cloud), and evaluate cloud configuration against best practices. It enables the ability to manage risk throughout multi-cloud infrastructures, provides regulatory compliance reporting, and integrates remediation into the cloud infrastructure lifecycle automation framework.
