Find out in this report how the two Intrusion Detection and Prevention Software (IDPS) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The Check Point IPS feature I find the most valuable is the firewall. It is great and easy to work with."
"We are able to define our own rules for detection."
"Some of the features for views and visualization are already predefined as default files."
"Real-time protection has blocked most threats that could affect system operations."
"Check Point Intrusion Prevention System has great profiles, and we can continuously create, modify, activate, deactivate or configure any specific setting to allow the profile to focus on just one thing or for certain attacks."
"Its event analysis and centralization features are very important for any organization."
"I can easily monitor all of our connected devices and I get instant notification of reconnections and new connections, which removes some of the monitoring burden."
"I can generate reports for management automatically based on the threats of the last day/week/whatever is needed."
"I really like Trend Vision One - Cloud Security's dashboard."
"The tech support is excellent. They really know their products. They also know a lot of about the integrations between different solutions."
"The most valuable part of Trend Vision One - Cloud Security is its dashboard, as it's simple. It's easy to manage, and you can better control the solution."
"The most valuable features are intrusion prevention and anti-malware capabilities."
"The storage and computing features are valuable."
"The stability is quite good."
"Vision One is versatile and can be integrated with many SIEMs. You're not limited to only one SIEM, such as Microsoft Sentinel. The API integrations are seamless, and we have all the documentation needed to integrate Vision One via API."
"The security is good."
"Sometimes we had false positives where packages that were legitimate for us were blocked and we had to unblock them through exceptions."
"I would like the product to provide us with intelligence to understand what we really have in our environment."
"There is no standalone IPS appliance available."
"We have a lot of false positives and the list of IPs are not up to date in terms of their location."
"Sometimes protections are 'aggregated' into a single threat name when you look at the logs. I would prefer to see all protections named individually (for example, right now, 'web enforcement' is a category that contains several signatures)."
"The service that we want to see in the future is a capacity to segment the IPS services by equipment."
"Enhancements are necessary for the proficiency of notifications in the event of a Social Security incident, whether through email or alternative channels such as SMS."
"There is an issue with precision."
"The local agent should be able to show more logs. At present, the logs are only available from the web console and not from the local agent."
"Securing S3 using Trend Vision One - Cloud Security can cost too much. Trend Vision One - Cloud Security has a tool that requires lots of privileges. From my understanding, it's only for static application testing, so they need to add dynamic application testing, and there should be more collaboration with the application testing tools on the market. We have not used this product, and I don't know if they plan to decommission it or something. They should focus on application security because this tool's unique feature is multi-cloud support. However, they should improve integration with tools for these kinds of use cases, especially application security and dynamic scanning. For example, I would like it to support Dell SecureOps. I'd also like to see some enhancements to API gateway security."
"The initial setup can be complex for the inexperienced."
"The licensing model could be improved. To gain full coverage, you need to spend more to buy subscriptions for each kind of service they offer. It will start to be pricey if you want full coverage."
"The initial setup is easy for someone who operates container platforms on a daily basis. However, it could be difficult for those coming purely from informational security or another field of an IT."
"There are also some loopholes because it's a new product that they have recently migrated to the cloud. We do see some issues with the policies we have assigned when it comes to a particular account. There are some issues with system support, such as a particular server kernel version that is not supported."
"The product could use a little bit of automation."
"They should provide a way for users to see violations for specific compliance."
