Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable features are the possibility of having one fabric for switching on security.""This product is definitely scalable.""Its performance in fulfilling our requirements has been satisfactory.""The solution is easy to configure and maintain remotely.""The dashboard I have found the most valuable in Fortinet FortiGate.""The Fortinet FortiGate local partners were good. I did not have direct contact with Fortinet support.""Fortinet FortiGate protects against internet-based threats, both internal and external. It is scalable, stable, easy to use, and easy to install.""The network security and cloud security are most valuable."

"Its most outstanding feature is content filtering.""Technical support has been good.""The product offers fairly good centralized administration and monitoring with decent capabilities that allow the administrator to have relevent control over devices."

"This solution is quick and easy to configure.""Easily manageable in a variety of environments.""The solution has improved my organization because I can see what traffic is happening and I can use it to block and prevent attacks.""Ease of use is the best feature of the product.""I like that it works fine. Stormshield is a very good solution.""I can see what traffic is going on. Cons
"From a reporting perspective, there's room for improvement. They're providing FortiAnalyzer through which one can get some enhancements, but the visibility and reporting still need slight improvement.""The support structure needs to be improved because every time we contact them, there is a delay in the response.""The price of FortiGate should be reduced because there are some other leading products that are cheaper.""Fortinet FortiGate needs to improve the protection, it did not prevent us from being attacked. Additionally, Fortinet FortiGate could provide more features for WAF devices. I should not have to purchase two solutions, it would be a benefit to combine these features into one solution.""The user interface could be improved to make it less confusing and easier to set up.""The solution could have licensing fees reduced in the future.""Currently, FortiGate is providing SSL VPN. But they're missing some features that are available in Palo Alto's SSL VPN.""A sandbox would be good in order to be able to inspect the emails containing spam and be able to validate the emails that contain malware, prior to delivering to the customer."

"The reporting from the file or reporting from mobile access needs improvement. The solution, in general, could use better reporting tools.""Every time we made a change, the policy took about three minutes to apply, and obviously, when there were emergency changes or changes that we needed that were escalated, they were not modified very, very quickly.""It should have excellent integration with the other security tools."

More Check Point VPN-1 [EOL] Cons →

"Not all the fields are activated yet and we were informed that it will take at least one month.""The filtering configuration could be better. We have some difficulties with the filtering configuration and the filter extension. It's not that easy. It's not that straightforward. In the next release, I would like to see a reporting system. Stormshield doesn't have any tutorials on how to do the configuration and things like that. They just have documentation on the website. If you want to configure, for example, Cisco or Fortinet, you can find tutorials on YouTube. They show you how to configure the features, and so on. In Stormshield, there is nothing on social media or the internet on how to configure different things. The lack of documentation or the lack of material makes it difficult for others to adopt this solution.""Stormshield Network Security is quite expensive.""It could be better if it were more user-friendly. It's too complicated for us to use it. The price could be better as well.""A more user-friendly interface would be helpful.""This is not a next-generation firewall.""This solution has a big problem with web filtering and it needs to be improved.""The product must improve its pricing."
