We performed a comparison between Check Point Web Gateway and Netskope Next Gen Secure Web Gateway based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Secure Web Gateways (SWG) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."The most valuable features are the antivirus as a whole, the anti-malware, and all of the protection features that scan our enterprise devices."
"On the outside, the main differentiation is because Lookout ingest. They have ingested basically all of the apps for the last ten years and all the versions of all the apps, and we have that in a corporate database that allows us to do very large-scale machine learning and analysis on that data set. That's not something that any of the competitors really have the capability to do because they don't have access to the data set. A lot of the apps you can no longer get them because that version of the app is five or six years old, and it just doesn't exist anywhere anymore, except within our infrastructure. So, the ability to have that very rich dataset and learn from that dataset is a real differentiator."
"The solution is stable."
"The protection offered by the product is the most valuable feature. It detects vulnerabilities or traps on our users' phones and then prompts them to clean up their devices. Tools we used previously would only discover, which required us to gather information on the backend, so Lookout is a welcome upgrade."
"It's easy to deploy this tool."
"It filters the URLs by reputation, denying access to those proven to be harmful and inspecting those which haven't been flagged yet to detect threats before the user can enter it."
"The interface is simply amazing."
"It offers good security and we use it when we want to implement the best security in an organization due to the fact that it gives us broader visibility."
"The stability of the tool is very good."
"Application control gives IT teams an opportunity to set suitable policies that can be used by all teams when coding."
"SmartConsole is intuitive."
"One of its rather outstanding capabilities is its ability to add an extra layer of protection to our company's internal network."
"One of the valuable features of the solution is that everything is on the cloud. It has no on-premise hardware to deal with."
"The solution's CASB, DLP, and threat protection features are very good."
"The most valuable features of the solution are its three modules, which are SWG, ZTNA, and CASB."
"The solution offers good security functionality."
"As Netskope is a cloud-based application, it is possible to analyze and distinguish personal and enterprise instances."
"We've found the solution to be quite stable."
"The solution has some useful features, such as microservices. They have sandboxing that allows the prevention, encryption, and remote browser isolation."
"Prevents data leakage and protects data."
"We just submitted an enhancement request reflecting the main area we want to see improvement in; the APIs. Currently, we're able to build dashboards, but it's somewhat backward because we use our MDM API to create them. Lookout should provide API to customers so we can query our data and use it in our cloud, and this is the only outstanding area for improvement with the product right now."
"From the analysis that we've done, they do seem to be maybe a step behind in trying to enter the market with a new solution. But when they do pick up, they do come out with some good products."
"Lookout was moving into the SSE space. And so their work on SecureWeb Gateway and SD-WAN is still sort of evolving."
"The stability depends on the service from where you access it. Because sometimes, the place you are in, you have Gateway. You don't have Gateway. The gateway is overutilized. At the end, you need to go through their gateways. And this is the key point here. You have a tracking point. If it's not well orchestrated, and it scales up as you add more to the existing team, you will suffer"
"We understand that if we want to see greater connections, greater services, and a greater capacity established for primary equipment, this solution needs to evolve to make an application installed directly on equipment."
"The support must be faster."
"For the most modern versions, there currently is no documentation, or it is more difficult to find it."
"The support team’s response is not fast."
"It is not user-friendly."
"The solution should improve integration."
"The documentation must be improved."
"Check Point Web Gateway could improve the user interface. It could be made more modern."
"There is room for improvement in streamlining policies. So what happens is that when you apply a specific Netskope policy, you never know the kind of content it will automatically block, or it will allow."
"Since they have the Netskope client, adding some functionality in the endpoint would be good."
"The stability of the solution to be very good. It is not the best and could improve but it is better than other solutions, such as Forcepoint."
"They should work on marketing material to put out their work with a little more effort."
"Improvement in the solution is required in certain areas where the product does not provide access to its direct end users, who use the portal as an administrator."
"The solution lacks a good reporting feature."
"Netskope Next Gen Secure Web Gateway needs to integrate IoT, which can help to control devices."
"The solution needs to improve its on-premise detection technique."
