We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Great for software update needs, operating system version updates, and security policy enforcement.""It's easy to manage.""Among the most valuable features are the Company Portal that is built into Intune, and the update rings so that we can manage what types of future updates the devices get.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Intune is having all our devices compliant with our policies.""Configuration profiles, remediation, scripts, and auto-pilot features are very good.""The central administration con dashboard is very easy to use and provides very good oversight on all that needs to be monitored.""Conditional access has helped us tailor and enforce our security policies in the mobile space.""Intune provides full visibility into all active mobile device users. If their devices are noncompliant with our security policies, I have the flexibility to update them remotely."

"The UI is easy to learn.""Meraki Systems Manager's most valuable features are password management, device tracking, remote resetting and wiping, device management, inventory management, and easy policy deployment.""The most significant benefit is that the deployment is quick and painless. You don't need a specialized IT department to implement and scale the network. It's easy to maintain, too. It only requires one or two network administrators.""I have found the location analytics feature that is built into the APs to be the most valuable. It allows you to compare data and to single out individuals who are repeatedly coming into your store. We can observe different trends. This is what separates it from a lot of the other solutions.""The product provides a universal dashboard.""It's very easy to just keep adding devices as needed.""The central management console on the cloud is fast and is the solution's most valuable feature.""We experience no downtime, no breakdowns, all the user readings are exact, and it gives us quick analysis so we can apply security measures."

"Can manage a large fleet of devices without any outside interference."

Cons
"Its configuration is fairly complicated. You have to do quite a bit of discovery to be able to deploy it for a customer. You have to ask them a lot of questions. So, its initial deployment is the biggest challenge. They should make it easier to deploy with the use of Wizards or something else. During the deployment stage, there could be profiles for the customers who are particularly wanting to use certain feature sets of Intune.""Reporting and troubleshooting for the application deployment could be better. It's very difficult to understand.""Having a dedicated configuration server that assists in modifying the configuration service, and creating personalized structures, interfaces, and web services could enhance usability.""Microsoft Intune's support for Mac devices is lacking and could be improved.""The configuration could be better by consolidating options and making it simpler.""There's quite a lot of development that they can do within their Intune dashboard. I think there are too many lines hyperlinked to move you around. Others, in contrast, give you a simple dashboard and an intuitive administrative walkthrough.""Microsoft Intune fails a lot when it comes to device compliance.""I would like to see micro VPN. I like the way that some of the other providers have done something similar where, as you open that app on an end-point device, it creates a micro VPN straight into your device, which is quite a nice little feature. Also, Microsoft Intune relies heavily on its fellow products in the suite. It would be nice if Microsoft Intune could stand on its own two feet."

More Microsoft Intune Cons →

"Security could be improved, and there could be more features that enable you to customize the end customer solution.""I would rate my experience with the initial setup a four out of ten, where one is difficult, and ten is easy. It is more difficult.""Because Cisco has improved a lot and is competing with other technologies that are innovative and brand new to the market, the only improvements they have to make are to keep up with the current competition and remain competitive with other solutions.""Meraki is limiting our connections.""They need to allocate more energy in terms of their offering to devices that are not Apple devices.""System's compatibility with Google Chrome could be improved.""One area for improvement in Cisco Meraki Systems Manager is the ability for more advanced users to make detailed and non-standard changes.""The solution can be expensive."

    Reviews from Real Users

Microsoft Intune stands out among its competitors for a number of reasons. Two major ones are its ability to secure all devices under its management and the flexibility that the solution offers its users.

A computing services manager notes, "Its security is most valuable. It gives us a way to secure devices, not only those that are steady. We do have a few tablets and other devices, and it is a way for us to secure these devices and manage them. We know they're out there and what's their status. We can manage their life cycle and verify that they're updated properly."

The head of IT engineering at a financial services company writes, "The one feature we find most useful is the Mobile Application Manager. There are two types: we have the complete MDM and the Mobile Application Manager (MAM). We don't give our users phones, it is their own personal phone, and we need to allow them to have access to the company details on their phone. We need to create a balance between their own personal data and the company data. We deploy the Mobile Application Manager for them so that we won't be able to interfere with their own personal data."

Every user is unique. Every device, a bit different. Systems Manager keeps the network in the loop about constantly changing devices, automatically tracking device posture and adjusting security policies to match.

ManageEngine Mobile Device Manager Plus is an enterprise mobile device management solution that is designed to enhance employee productivity without compromising on corporate security.
