"It has the same functionalities throughout the range of products.""It is simpler to configure. It is not like Cisco Firepower, where you go crazy trying to follow the Cisco documentation to figure out how to configure one little thing. Unlike Cisco Firepower, where you can't do everything through the web interface and you have got to do some command line stuff, Fortinet FortiGate SWG is simpler. There are four different things in Cisco to get in, which is not the case with Fortinet FortiGate SWG. It is one of my favorite solutions to work with. I would much rather work with it than Cisco Firepower, for example. Even though I've got 20 years of Cisco experience with different firewalls, I would much prefer this solution.""The security for endpoints is the most valuable. It is very secure for our workers. It allows us to secure a transaction and enable security for a specific segment in the workflow.""The performance is very good and the solution is simple to manage."

Cons
"I would like to see a graphical representation of the entire network.""It would be useful if they had a malware protection engine running inside their own VM.""This solution does not give us full, 360-degree protection.""I would like to see integration with SecurNX in the future.""The reporting could be improved by way of the information that's displayed. For example, when you pull a report, it shows an internal employee going to many websites, but you can spin that right down by saying a lot of it is being cached.""It has happened in the past that Cisco Umbrella has denied us access to secure websites.""In the next release, I would like to see the integration of VDI NSX with Cisco Umbrella.""They need to improve analytics so they report on more of the specifics of user activity."

"Setup is not that difficult, but it really requires proper technical training."

"They have not yet extended to the cloud.""Their technical support could be improved a little bit in terms of responsiveness.""I would like the deployment and integration of this product to be easier. We should be able to deploy the features more easily and have different types of access. It should be easier to integrate. Currently, we need to develop APIs to use this interface.""The solution has many heightened points which we cannot get to without working on CLI."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis.""Cisco has a model called ELA. With ELA, if you buy the solution you will have the complete security portfolio and you can pay it yearly or after three years, it depends on the contract.""I am not sure, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I think it's $1.00 or so per device/month.""Cisco uses subscription models for the pricing and there are three subscription plans.""The licensing part for Umbrella is really flexible.""There are three models for licensing with different feature sets.""I think it's worth the money.""The price of Cisco Umbrella is a little higher than similar solutions, like Gateway."
