Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is stable.""We can maintain our systems using the solution.""The features that we have found most valuable are the web app support and VPN.""It's easy to use. Also, the deployment part is perfect.""Its ease of use and how everybody can easily work through it are the most valuable features.""For our use case, it was scalable. There were at least 25 end users using this solution from remote locations. And once the connection was established, there weren't any complaints.""It performs quite well.""It is easy to set up and is stable. It is scalable as well, depending on the model."

"It has good stability.""The most valuable feature of VMware Workspace ONE is its reliability.""A very easy to use solution.""The product offers integration capabilities with third-party solutions.""The most valuable feature of VMware Workspace ONE is the support for multiple devices. Not only iOS, and Android, but all kinds of platforms, including VR device management. Additionally, it has a tunneling feature, which no other solution provides. Other solutions have to integrate with other tools to have this functionality, whereas VMware Workspace ONE has its own application gateway tunnel.""We used to have a system before, Mac OS Open Directory server and this open directory became obsolete because Apple decided to stop the enterprise market, so there was no other alternative for us to use. We chose this to replace the open directory and we found that it has many more features than the previous solution. We totally rely on it right now to manage all the devices on campus.""The solution can scale.""VMware Workspace ONE is scalable."

Cons
"Its interface could be made a lot easier. It is very kludgy.""We have experienced issues relating to multi-factor authentication""Their VAS product should be more productive because right now, we are using other VAS solutions but not using this one.""The dashboard or interface should be more clear in reporting issues. Integration with other applications should be more user-friendly.""Lacks access through a mobile device.""The initial setup is very complex.""The initial setup could be made easier.""Sometimes the input-output has issues."

More Citrix Gateway Cons →

"I would like to see improvements made to both the support, and the pricing.""We'd like the customization to be better.""There is no Apple zero-day support for updates.""The length of time it takes to deploy an application could improve.""VMware Workspace ONE can improve in virtual reality. Customers are now looking toward virtual reality devices. Though it supports virtual reality, it's treated as an Android device. Customers want to deal with VR devices, they want a specific VR tool. Not an Android device VR tool.""Windows 10 management is there, but VMware only recently developed that part, and it's not fully mature. Patch management and other integrations are there as well as the application-pushing part, command line, mandatory commands, etc. Some out-of-the-box solutions should be available to better integrate a broader range of applications and handle application push. That's the roadmap we should look at.""The bigger vendors like VMware, Insight, and MobileIron can assign engineers to customers. You can work with them to develop the right competency to use the product.""The initial setup is a bit complex."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Usually with Citrix the issue is the pricing, especially for the African region. We believe it's really expensive."
  • "Pricing is very high if you do a comparison with what is available in the market."
  • "I believe the pricing is comparable to SaaS"
  • "It costs about 4,000 a year."
  • "The price could be lower."
  • "There is a license to use Citrix Gateway and it is less expensive to use when compared to other solutions."
  • "There are two or three different models, but you can actually have a CapEx where you purchase the unit outright and then there's a yearly maintenance cost on top for years two and three, and four, or you can actually do a subscription purchase through Citrix cloud and you pay on a monthly basis, or you can have a three-year subscription contract as well. I give the solution a six out of ten for its cost."
  • "The solution has a yearly licensing fee."
  • More Citrix Gateway Pricing and Cost Advice →

  • "You should take out a dedicated license agreement of your MDM fleet and invest heavily in innovating in this space."
  • "In terms of pricing, this solution is definitely much more expensive compared to other solutions, like MobileIron or MaaS360 or any other product in the market. This solution is more expensive by 30 or 40 percent."
  • "I have no opinion about the pricing of the product."
  • "The pricing and licensing are affordable. They are not too high."
  • "I think the pricing of the product needs advisement. It would be great to bundle the VM products together. I think the actual box itself should be included in the license. At present, it is not paired with the mobile device."
  • "If you purchase it for one year, it is very expensive. If you get it for three years or up to five years, then you can bargain a better price."
  • "There is a separate cost for technical support and extra premium features. The pricing should be simplified."
  • "The cost is a little bit high."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below is some feedback from our PeerSpot users who are currently using the solution:

PeerSpot user Patrick B., Cybersecurity Architect at a tech services company, says, "Its UI is extremely easy to use whether you're an advanced user or a novice user. When I first opened it up and had to learn the product, I was easily a novice. By the end of the third month, I was digging into the backend of the system and using it as a highly advanced user to accomplish what I needed to accomplish, and I was able to do it through the UI mostly."

Roshan T., Partner Manager North America at a tech company, mentions how satisfied he is with the product, saying, "You can put all your applications on a mobile device, be it a phone or tablet. It is secure and easy to use. Because it is centrally managed, you don't have to do any configuration on the phone. I just got the phone and connected to the central applications. I just downloaded one thing and everything got rolled out. Email, calendar, and other things were deployed centrally. If you don't have AirWatch, you have to configure your phone manually. For example, you need to deploy and configure your email manually and then synchronize everything. It is much simpler when a mobile device is centrally managed."
