We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The product is stable.""I use Citrix DaaS to connect to devices.""The ROI for us has been that when we had Hurricane Harvey last year, Xendesktop came in very handy for us. Even though people had electricity in Texas, many networks were down. Our offices could still get into our network and do work that was needed. It is an excellent virtual office that works anywhere, anytime and anyplace. It is worth our investment.""The most valuable feature is the watermark because most of the time our employees connect from a remote location. In case they photograph the DDA or some data, the watermark will show which user did so and from which IP they connected. That makes it more secure.""It provides all of the features required for the protection of data. For example, we don't want to allow any copy/paste of data to an outside environment, and we are able to restrict the VDI to not allow any data transfer from the VDI to the local laptop's hard drives. That is one of the greatest advantages the solution provides.""ICA/HDX optimization policies.""The most valuable feature is the ability to connect to our on-premise applications, through the Workspace app and the Workspace experience. The user experience when using the solution's technology remotely is good. Our users are able to work and it's seamless. The performance is also good.""Because of the solution's ubiquity, it is easier to find answers to problems than with competitive products."

"With this product, everyone can have a similar kind of desktop environment.""Getting access to the applications for which we otherwise have to be on-site is probably the biggest advantage""The most valuable feature is connectivity. The remote connection is the reason we are using this solution.""I can access it from anywhere.""The most valuable feature of Citrix Workspace is the virtual desktop that we can use anywhere, at any time, and without taking our laptop.""Citrix Workspace can present desktop applications with ease, in an efficient and secure manner. The performance is good, it is a great piece of software.""The most valuable feature is the seamless application edition with the low-level network bandwidth because we have between 10 and 15 sites in France with a low level of communication needs. We need to deploy our main application, the ERP system, and we needed an efficient solution to provide a solution to the remote sites, with very small links between the data center and the remote site.""Citrix Workspace's standout feature is its flexibility."

Cons
"Pricing can be lower and roaming profiles need to be fixed to work consistently.""The visibility the solution provides across SaaS, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, for user and application traffic, is also limited if you do not enable all the services and is based on which services you are utilising. Citrix provides end-to-end visibility based on their services you are utilising.""Citrix has to support all of the hypervisors including KVM and OpenStack KVM.""The initial setup has room for improvement.""Latency is also a major problem when adopting Citrix for video editing software or 3D editing software, especially editing 4K video or large file size. The Citrix virtualized solution becomes too slow, so we cannot use the VDI.""There is room for improvement because it has a lot of dependency on Active Directory and other things. If they could come up with something similar and native, a complete solution portfolio would help.""I think they can improve the troubleshooting to make it easier for users to solve problems on their own. For example, it could provide an error code and some instructions on how to reconnect to the database or do something proactive to fix the issue with the system.""There are many latency and slowness issues, which are things looked after by Citrix."

"It takes time to load.""We're running into all kinds of speed issues and reliability issues. There are frequent disconnects, and we're not sure whether that's a problem with the product, with the way the product has been deployed, or with server capacity or bandwidth. Our IT department pays attention to that, but we are feeling the impact of that.""Some customers find the price to be a significant factor. They have a hard time understanding the extra cost of the services""The ITSM adapters need to be enhanced.""I've recently tried to use Citrix on Ubuntu, and I don't know if this is an Ubuntu issue or a vendor issue, but you can't use Citrix right now on Ubuntu 20.04.""There is room for slight improvement in performance optimization and interface refinement.""I have noticed that the current compatibility issue with the latest version of Windows 11 is a concern for me and my client. While the client has support for Windows 11, it appears that the Citrix Workspace is only compatible with Windows 10, which does not support the newest version. This is an area that I believe could be improved upon.""This solution is resource-intensive, it takes a lot of Bandwidth and a lot of the resources of the server."

    Reviews from Real Users

“If you have a desktop, laptop, or device that can be distributed to end users, to any kind of inconsistency in the institution, we deploy the solution so that anybody can get whatever resource is required. It helps ensure access. It makes it easy for us to give storage, memory, RAM, or processor resources without anything affecting their day-to-day activity.” Letarik D., Software System Team Leader at Ethiopian Roads Administration.

“I work for the State of Illinois, and we were able to stay open and provide services for the needs of the people of the State of Illinois during COVID, which included unemployment services and everything else like that. Its user-friendliness is most valuable. It was easy to login and navigate. Some solutions are not very user-friendly, but this one was.” Cheri S., Information Systems Analyst II at the State of Illinois.
