Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"We use monitors to keep track of our machines. We use a pretty good portion of information from Automate.""It's definitely improved the help-desk servicing, et cetera.""The implementation is nice and easy.""Scripting and patch management are really important for us. Patch Manager is something that we use a lot, and we would love to have it continually improved. It is one of the most useful features for us for controlling patches and other things for different clients.""It allows us to manage all client requests, jobs and invoicing.""The database is great. It's a nicely ordered database.""Remote access and detailed monitoring help us support our equipment.""A good automated scripts feature."

"We have the dashboard up on a big screen, and you can actually see when things go wrong or if there are any faults with any of the servers. The backup is automated as well, so the appliance is quite good.""The initial setup is easy.""We lose less time managing the machines.""I don't have to use CD-ROMs or anything like that to provision the servers.""Gives the business interfaces to view real-time pictures of IT business services.""We get templates, so it's speed to delivery for us. It's a big difference with the template features.""Deploys faster new virtual services.""The most valuable features of HPE OneView are environment monitoring, the ease of firmware upgrade, and the ability to manage all the servers and the infrastructure from one team."

Cons
"They could use some automated alerts particularly when we're talking about an MSP that might shoot over.""Patching and reporting need improvements, especially reporting. The reporting engine is quite outdated, so you end up having to use your own dashboard.""The project management needs improvement and there's a section of the product called configuration that also needs to be improved.""The menu doesn't always load properly.""They always change the GUI to some dumb-down version of tiles which are more "user-friendly", but slows my team down in the end.""Scheduling of automation could be improved and made more simple.""This is a raw system. Of course, it has some flaws that could be improved. But, it's something that we will have to work with to get to the point where we need this, we request it and they do their best to make it happen.""In Patch Manager, there should be more reportability so that it is easier to see the updates that I have applied to a machine and when the next update will happen. A lot of times, it seems like all the information is kind of thrown all over the place, and you can't really see it all at the same time. There should be a simplified patch data view that allows us to quickly confirm that our various clients are getting patched as they should be."

"We've had a few issues. We just upgraded to the 3.9.0 version. We think that now that we are on that version, hopefully a lot of those things are going to go away for us.""I had some minor difficulties with upgrading, but the solution still works fine.""The tool doesn't send automated alerts via email...We should be able to receive notification emails when a server or hardware issue arises, which would be helpful if someone is unavailable in the office.""The interface is a bit bland. It does its job, but it could have a better interface.""The solution's console can be improved by making it more user-friendly and adding the capability to filter the reports out using only the information required.""Integration could be improved. Sometimes OneView doesn't identify physical hardware.""I would like to see support for things that aren't in the current generation. We have a lot of 7th and 8th generation hardware.""Use it, but do not think it is going into the clouds, because it is not. There is room for improvement."
