Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Maybe they could improve the capability to be multi-tenant.""It's definitely improved the help-desk servicing, et cetera.""We use monitors to keep track of our machines. We use a pretty good portion of information from Automate.""ConnectWise Automate's interface is pretty easy to use. It's pretty intuitive to get around and navigate it. It does what I need, which is usually connecting to the client and customers systems.""The implementation is nice and easy.""The initial setup is easy and the deployment is quick.""Remote access and detailed monitoring help us support our equipment.""This product saves us a lot of time and increases our efficiency."

"ScienceLogic allows us to create and customize a user-friendly dashboard.""Power packs.""Best feature of all is detailed monitoring of services, processes, ports and SSL certificates and or web content.""The flexibility to support most technologies. The way ScienceLogic gathers data from multiple sources is vital to our customers. As we work with new customers (often with different technology requirements), ScienceLogic is flexible enough to support our clients’ varying network needs.""The tool is quite easy to deploy, and it offers very good support.""It has good monitoring capabilities across cloud environments, data centers, and hybrid environments.""When it comes to features, the power pack is the most valuable.""The solution provides good infra-monitoring features."

Cons
"They always change the GUI to some dumb-down version of tiles which are more "user-friendly", but slows my team down in the end.""We would love to get feature updates and cumulative updates fixed. I know they aren't really supposed to be pushed with Patch Manager. We've got recommendations from ConnectWise to use the scripted feature update installs, scripted KB updates, etc. Having these in Patch Manager itself would be great.""They could use some automated alerts particularly when we're talking about an MSP that might shoot over.""There could be better linkages between ConnectWise Automate and Manage from a ticketing perspective. Automate and Manage each has its own ticketing system. We use the one in Manage, but it'd be nice if they were linked directly to the one in Automate.""The wait time for a support ticket to be addressed needs to be reduced. They take a couple of days to get back. It is a little frustrating when we have to wait for a couple of days. A lot of times, the issue is critical for us. If we're reaching out to their support team and submitting a ticket, it is because we need it handled quickly.""I have a problem with the reports available on the solution. I don't understand how to work with the reporting functionality. For example, when I want to give a report for a specific machine, ConnectWise doesn't seem to have this as an option. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if the reporting functionality is just poorly conceived.""The menu doesn't always load properly.""Their support needs to be better."

More ConnectWise Automate Cons →

"It doesn't have the complete application-level topology. It could have service topology and business service monitoring. I would like to see how business service monitoring will function with agent-based installation, and how flexible and business-oriented it is for service modeling and service infrastructure. I have a lot of experience in using business service monitoring, service topology, and service hierarchy functionalities in similar products from BMC and Micro Focus (OpenView), and I want to see how these functionalities will look like in ScienceLogic.""ScienceLogic should provide detailed documents to customer as the current documents are not sufficient.""The product is not user-friendly.""It was challenging onboarding users.""From a performance perspective, it needs to improve a lot.""ScienceLogic could improve the implementation, it could be made easier.""ScienceLogic does not have application monitoring. We definitely need something integrated within ScienceLogic to monitor applications so that we don't have to rely on monitoring tools to monitor other applications. At least the ones that are market leaders, such as SAP, Oracle, and others.""There are often bugs in new releases."

  • "Decide what you want to monitor and only monitor those items. Absorb other elements as you grow."
  • "Plan for adding more to it. Once you see EM7 in action, you will want to keep adding systems to monitor."
  • "It comes with the OS built in, so no need to purchase an OS license or DB license."
  • "Its price could be lower, but for what you pay, you got a lot of value from its features and functionalities. Customers always want a discount or a cheaper solution."
  • "The pricing model for ScienceLogic could improve."
  • "The solution is license-based. It's between $8 and $15, depending on what you need from the product."
  • "I'm not the best person to discuss pricing, but what I do know is that it's a use-and-go structure. You use this much storage and pay this much for it. That's how it is. Every time, we continue to add a large amount of data to the environment."
