We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Having all monitoring, response, tracking, and mitigation tools in one dashboard provides our analysts and SOC team with a comprehensive view at a glance.""Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.""Fortinet has helped free up around 20 percent of our staff's time to help us out.""The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure.""It is very easy to set up. I would rate my experience with the initial setup a ten out of ten, with ten being very easy to set up.""The price is low and quite competitive with others.""The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls.""Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers."

"There are two things which customers really like about CrowdStrike. If they buy managed services from CrowdStrike, it offers them detection of security issues in one minute. If you buy their professional services, they offer insurance where you can claim up to $5 million if there's a breach. This is a huge upsell for customers.""Scalability is good. We have had no issues with it.""The EDR and XDR features have been most valuable.""This solution consistently releases improvements. They have communicated their next two years of development which is powerful and covers all of our needs.""We haven't had any infections or down time.""I like the Overwatch feature the most.""The most valuable feature is its threat analysis.""The most valuable feature is the machine learning that they use to check certain patterns in the endpoint devices. It checks the whole ecosystem or entire environment."

More CrowdStrike Falcon Pros →

"The security engine is effective at catching potential threats.""It is a stable solution.""The backup speed and deduplication are the most valuable features.""It is a stable solution. Our company faces no problems with the backup system…The initial setup wasn't complex.""There's a really they have a really nice way to test it first. Before you adopt it. And so I would suggest trying to they they create a test site for you, and they give you a link to it, and you can basically try out all the features on your own for I think we did it for a month.""Dell Data Protection has a decent service and integrates well with users' active directories.""The most valuable features of the solution are its speed, backup speed, and restore speed."

Cons
"The only minor concern is occasional interference with desired programs.""We find the solution to be a bit expensive.""I haven't seen the use of AI in the solution.""The EDR console should have more extensive reporting. You shouldn't need to purchase FortiAnalyzer. It should be included in the EDR part. The security adviser cloud platform could be improved with more options for exclusive or intensive rules for devices.""ZTNA can improve latency.""FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting.""There's room for improvement in the quick response time and technical support for integration issues, especially when dealing with multiple vendors.""Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation."

More Fortinet FortiEDR Cons →

"Dashboard creation is one of the areas for improvement in CrowdStrike Falcon. Sometimes, management asks for a custom dashboard, so my team has to collect data from CrowdStrike Falcon, integrate that in Splunk, then create the dashboard in Splunk. The Splunk dashboard is more elaborate, so the CrowdStrike Falcon dashboard needs improvement. Another area for improvement in the tool is the malware detection report, as it needs to be more detailed and include some graphics so that if you want to present that data in a nutshell, it's easier to do. For example, the report should consist of some graphical representation that shows a month's worth of data. In terms of an additional feature I'd like CrowdStrike Falcon to have, it's the device posture assessment feature that detects the device posture within the network. Whichever device connects to the corporate network, my company should be able to analyze the device posture. Then there should be communication with the network, which means that as soon as a device connects, CrowdStrike Falcon can assess the device posture, detect its corporate asset, and decide whether it should be allowed on the network.""The installation process for this software needs to be simplified.""The product could be more accurate in terms of performance.""They don't really have anything when it comes to scanning attachments.""On the firewall management side, there should be more granularity. There should also be more granularity for device control. Everything else is brilliant.""CrowdStrike Falcon could improve if it became an XDR. When we look only to an end-point, we lost the context of the environment. I know it's another line of design of the product. However, if CrowdStrike becomes an XDR, it could be very good.""The performance could be better.""I have worked with their technical support on several problems that were never fully resolved."

More CrowdStrike Falcon Cons →

"The solution could be more user-friendly.""The backup speed and deduplication are the most valuable features.""Implementation in a beta environment is necessary before rollout to the larger community.""Whenever we talk about reporting, I have a chance to look at the reporting, and in my opinion, it's not user-friendly.""The solution’s user interface should be made more user-friendly.""I consider the product pretty expensive, so from an improvement perspective, I would like the pricing to be better."

    Reviews from Real Users

Below are some reviews and helpful feedback written by Fortinet FortiEDR users.

An Owner at a security firm says, "The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers. The customer has literally about 800 cash registers. That was the use case for Fortinet FortiEDR - to get that down into a tiny space. The only way to do that was to use this product because it had that ability to unbundle services that were a surplus.”

Chandan M., Chief Technical Officer at Provision Technologies LLP, mentions, “The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration.” He also adds, “The security is also very good and the firewall response is good.”

Harpreet S., Information Technology Support Specialist at Chemtrade Logistics, explains, "It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."

DeAndre V., Senior Network Administrator at a financial services firm, states, “The dashboard is easy to follow and use. The deployment and uninstalling were easy. I like the detailed information about the path of a file that might be suspicious. Being able to check that out was easy to follow. Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance.
