Pros
It handles situations that the other threat management tools wouldn't find. It has worked well covering the weaker sides of the other products that we're integrating.Centralized dashboard online which can be used for managing a huge product.Even if an endpoint loses connection to the Internet, I know that endpoint is protected against 99.99% of the threats in the wild today.Specifically for a Windows domain environment, the product can be customized and pushed via GPO or SCCM without issue.Endpoints are protected in real-time without the need of a centralized server.Very easy to deploy. It can be done one by one or deployed by customizing an MSI file for GPO push. The CylancePROTECT agent is very low on CPU usage, so it has virtually no adverse impact on my servers, desktops, or workstations.Does malware analysis. Blocks WannaCry and other attacks that have come out.

This solution blocks the brand new malware threats. In terms of the current global landscape, it is a great solution.Advanced level endpoint firewall, which helps to block unwanted and malicious traffic. What is great about ESET is the ERA Web Console through which we can pull various reports, monitor and administer all clients and servers, and the console is easy to use.A feature we like is setting the GUI of ESET Endpoint Security/ESET File Security to silent mode because some servers and clients can have performance issues. We use ESET, which is pretty much perfect for us. It is also absolutely simple and automatic once setup. We have not picked up a bug yet, because we use ESET, which is a tried and proven system. It is absolutely invisible once running.

Cons
I would like to see a better UI in terms of sifting through more specific data and providing analytics. A little bit more would be nice.Work on the math model. We are catching a lot of false positives, which gets to be a pain at the start of a deployment. The management console needs a little maturity in how it presents data and allows the administrator to drill down or search across systems. It needs real analysis of quarantined files. The EDR product isn't showing much right now.

I would like them to use AI features to do preventative virus protection.ESET should consider giving it application control. They need to improve licensing for VMs. When ESET is uninstalled from a VM, the seat stays on the license management server. We have to manually delete the seat from that server because it doesn't know how to handle it. I contacted exclusive ESET support here in Croatia and they told me there is no solution for this yet.iOS compatibility for mobile security and parental control.

Pricing and Cost Advice
Our licensing cost for the solution is around $4,000 for six months. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.Shop around for sure and be assured the price you pay will be close to other solutions available, but even at a slight mark-up from the other solutions, you are getting real endpoint protection versus nothing more than a cheap security blanket that might keep you warm at night.Do not get hung up on price. You pay for what you get and expensive will hurt one time, where cheap will hurt forever, especially if you fall victim to a ransom attack, etc.The initial end-point cost may seem a little high (~$55/device/year) but when you look at the total peace of mind that the solution provides, with no reboots for updates, and negligible performance impact, it is well worth it.Review closely how many endpoints you actually need before buying into a pricing level. Deal and deal with the VAR of your choice.

At first, we thought it was a bit expensive, but we negotiated a better price. The cost is a very reasonable. When compared with other products, the price is low (though not very low).ESET is perfect, if you can afford it.Pricing per month, for security services as apps in CEE pricing: up to €2 monthly is OK.
