Automation Anywhere has surely helped our organization to shape its Digital Journey - It was our first RPA tool which helped us to perform basic automation which created Point solutions but has added tremendous value at the early stage. We were able to scale-up fast using Automation Anywhere due to its user-friendly AI and later on IQ Bots provided the required edge to handle the unstructured data.
I implemented AA in different environments, the AA installation is the smoothest compared to other RPA software installs.

The advantage of Automation Anywhere is that you don't necessarily have to come from a programming background.
We have improved on IQ Bot collectively with the normal Taskbot that we use. How it got started was that we have a lot of scanned documents to input for our solution. So, I used to get a lot of scanned documents, and extracting or reading the data from those has always been a pain area. We always used to bring a manual person in to do it. Once a manual person did that activity, it was brought into Excel where I could run the bot. With the entry of IQ Bot, it now takes care of my scanned documents, which means IQ Bot does the OCR extraction and gives my data to the Automation Anywhere Taskbot. This means no manual intervention and end-to-end bot processing, along with a happy customer at the end of the day. We provide these services to multiple clients, so we have been doing this for all of our clients.
Scalability is one of the best things about most of the RPA bots. Once you create one, scalability is just about multiplying them.
Ability to calculate the ROI on the jobs that are running.
Pega Robotics offers all the required features to build end-to-end process automation like any other similar tools. It's unique development style using data line and control flow line makes it easy to debug through the flow.
The most valuable aspect for myself was access to the .net framework. If I couldn't figure something out using the objects that they had provided, I could bring in the .net objects and do so using similar logic that I would in a .net or C sharp coding language. Having that familiarity was helpful.
The solution's ability to create adapters quickly is its most valuable feature.
The most valuable features are the loops to lookup tables to read the data.
The most valuable feature of Pega Robotic Process Automation is the technique: you can create a user interface that can interact with a human being for attended robots.
Automation Anywhere can be improved in certain areas specified in the cognitive zone where the information needs better OCR Engine + Machine Learning capabilities. Also, they can improve on the System Identified region function of the IQ Bot - Our team faced a tough time in handling that as we were not able to assign variable to System Identified Region as the IQ Bot tool wasn't allowing it.
Bringing a DevOps model for bot implementation integrated through private bot store might be a good idea to improve the tool.
SMTP mail features should come with migration options. All kind of VB scripts and Java scripts which we built using exiting version should support in this version.
[They] should add more Analytics and Intelligence related capabilities.
Additional features should involve the Cognitive Section where we need more Advance solutions involving ML & AI.
Because we are very new to our process, so we're still sort of working through it.
I would like a couple more features where I can talk and the line comes up automatically. I can just put on a mic, like in "Ok Google". With "Ok Google", I can tell it to please open an Excel spreadsheet with the header read. If this is there, then I don't even need to sit on a computer, I can just dictate my commands and it will automatically come up.
Some things that I do not see as of today are interactive chat or video interface. These are things that I will look for in future. I saw something like picture recognition, but something like a video or voice recognition is something that I'm looking for in the Automation Anywhere platform as an end user and even as a reseller.
Would like to see more additions to the library.
I have faced many scenarios in the business workflow, where a few applications run on the Citrix environment. That could be a critical part of the process without which business won't be able to accept the automation solution. Because of one small bottleneck, you will lose a very good candidate for process automation.
Pega has a no-code low-code environment. We do everything based on established rules. You kind-of have to learn how all their rules work and how it works for robotics before you can use the solution effectively.
The OCR capabilities of the solution could be improved.
You cannot use a two-dimensional array to read the data.
Pega Robotic Process Automation can improve the OGR area. You don't have a feature to read documents in computer voices.
Pricing and Cost Advice
Costs savings have been seen by employing bots for multiple shifts instead of people.
If we talk about the automation RPA. it definitely has worked very well for us. I'm talking about giving good savings, about more than 180 FTE savings, after implementing more than 200 plus bots. It has worked well. As an organization, it has supported us very well, and also for our customers.
It saves on the quality of work, because the quality can be bad when somebody's doing it. If a bot does the work, it's faster and comes with good quality. These are two important things along with the cost saving in the long run. That's where the value is.
We have seen ROI on one of the process, but not on the other processes yet.

The certifications are free of cost.
There are a lot of savings in terms of effort and time as well as costs. Automation Anywhere automates a lot of processes. It allows an organization to save the efforts of a lot people. It saves a lot of time because people can't work a whole day (24/7), but Automation Anywhere bots can.
We are interested in saving manual engineer man-hours. So far, we have saved $100,000.
