We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.

Pros
"My customer has Dell EMC CloudBoost integrated with all of their other Dell products. It integrates well.""The solution's support team is excellent."

"This solution works really well and it is simple to deploy.""The most valuable feature is that it is very elastic. It's adaptable because it's very flexible and modular.""Cloud Connect's best features are its simplicity, flexibility, and constantly-expanding options.""The deployment is quite simple. Users are generally happy because of the familiarity they have with the features. The solution offers good transparency for the end-user.""It hasn't given us any issues so far.""The most valuable features are the fast replication and recovery of data.""The most valuable quality of Veeam Cloud Connect is its reliability.""While there are some complexities, Veeam tries to keep the product simple and offers a good knowledge base. Cons
"They should eliminate the tape-out function from the solution."

More Dell CloudBoost Cons →

"Some of the features I'd like added to the solution would be coming up in version 12, so the only area for improvement I saw in Veeam Cloud Connect was the need to have more support for object storage.""I would like to see more advanced training courses made available to cover complicated use cases.""The solution could improve the stability.""It would be helpful if the enterprise edition was more complete. It's not as complete as the enterprise plus edition is. For instance, in the enterprise version, we can only use one accelerator with the cloud provider. It means if I have my Cloud Connect, I cannot connect another site of mine with another cloud connect and use an accelerator of Veeam. They should change this.""We need the solution to offer IT storage.""If a customer has a low budget, Veeam may be too expensive.""The biggest thing that Cloud Connect needs is native deduplication.""Basically, a huge amount of storage capacity can be required in certain cases."

    Overview

With Dell CloudBoost, products of Dell Data Protection Suite, Including Dell NetWorker, Dell Avamar and Dell PowerProtect Data Manager, are optimized for enterprise applications running in public cloud environments. CloudBoost is available with Data Protection Suite.

Veeam Cloud Connect for the Enterprise enables businesses to act as a disaster recover (DR) service provider to deliver off-site backup and replication services to internal customers. This eliminates complexity by removing the need to maintain a VPN connection and it improves security by encapsulating all backup and management traffic into a single port.
