Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"OpenText Documentum's composition is good. It is convenient and straight out of the box.""The most valuable feature is the management.""It is quite good.""The stability is very good.""It is a very secure system. It is reliable, and that is one of the reasons people manage their content within Documentum. It gives them the confidence that the content is accessible to the right people and not to the wrong people.""The most valuable feature of Documentum for our content management needs is its ability to segregate access based on department and role.""I appreciate Documentum's scalability, allowing for vast volumes of content storage.""OpenText Documentum has improved availability and performance in our organization."

"Version management is helpful because I like to try different versions and then decide which of them should be the main model.""I would say the collaboration features are very useful to us, because we are a European organization, so we are not in one location. This is an easy way to share with other people and ask them for feedback. That is the use case for us.""It is a stable solution.""This is one of the best solutions and it is easy to implement.""The visual representation is extremely powerful and easy to use in process modeling and analysis. I can show it to someone who doesn't know business process mapping, and they still understand because it's visually presented. It becomes easy to explain variants and what needs to change.""As a business transformation suite, Signavio offers a number of integrated helpful tools. The Process Modeler helps with the conceptual work, but is directly integrated with the components of the Workflow Accelerator (Automation) and the Process Intelligence (Mining). This makes Signavio an indispensable service package.""Process management/Process governance is what we think Signavio is very good at.""I like the collaboration and the real-time aspects of it."

Cons
"OpenText Documentum has a lot of scope for improvement in terms of adding some AI integrations.""The user interface can be improved.""The vertical application could be improved.""It's difficult to manage and customize Documentum.""OpenText Documentum's user interface could be improved a little bit.""An area that needs to improve is how to reduce storage space on the AWS site.""OpenText Documentum needs to improve its support.""It should provide more tools to help clients upgrade solutions based on Webtop."

More OpenText Documentum Cons →

"I would like to see more integration with the process manager in terms of the workflow accelerator.""Typically, a business process management suite would cover the whole lifecycle, from discovery to optimization and operations. This is running on the process server and providing some kind of low-code environment for developing business solutions. I think the latter part is missing, where SAP Connector comes in. Specifically, the execution of processes is missing, where you would design forms to take orders. This is typically part of some development environment for the process server to run processes from out of the models.""It is not easy to learn the product.""If you're going to use the tool the way I'm using it, which is to work with businesses and capture what they're thinking, it would be helpful to be able to insert other objects onto a diagram.""The product's pricing could be improved.""Part of the product that I think can improve is document control. That's currently not even possible. To work with documents we have something of a workaround using SharePoint.""There is room for improvement in the reporting function. At the moment, for example, while it is possible to report on how many users you had in the last month, you can't use it to tell you how many users you had from the first week to the second week. This is really a drawback because when you have an activity to promote Signavio or BPI, it would be good to be able to measure how many people you had in the system.""There could be something more on the reporting side of it for the processes you have captured or processes that might be work in progress to see where to target your effort because you don't always have lots of resources to spare"
