Pros
Offers a single pane of glass to view inventory, code version management, and inner operations. The most valuable feature is the auto-discovery, which is nice because you don't have to do anything to add a new component. We were able to standardize the internal processes across all internal departments, resulting in almost an elimination of non-standard process flows through our organization.I have found the cross analysis feature to be the most valuable. The Spectrum tool improved our network assurance levels for our business units. All networks (or network equipment) are monitored through CA Spectrum.

No issues with stability. The most valuable aspects of the solution are its ease of use and its ease of implementation.People are very pleased with the implementation. The features I find most valuable is the querying and alerting capabilities. This solution makes it a lot easier to figure out trends within very different data sources, which makes it easy to see why something is misbehaving. This solution allows me to have true visibility for any metrics when it comes to my cloud, and private.

Cons
The company is trying desperately to sustain the platform by bolting on changes to it to enhance it. It is not a long-term solution. The interface is not nice and needs to be improved. We want to make our own choice for the AIOps solution and do not want to be forced to use the Broadcom OI solution by default. For us, the implementation was quite complex but it's because of the large number of different environments we're dealing with. The CA Technologies sales team destroyed their relationship with our business units. It needs better integration with other CA products.OS monitoring needs to be better developed, as well as their services, e.g., cluster monitoring, URLs, etc.

Everything in the market is moving towards automation and everybody's looking for the single click operations as well relational data locality. They could make it more easy to plug-in data so that a nontechnical person will be able to use it, like accountants or finance people. That way they don't have to ask us.The implementation is a long process that should be improved. In the new version, I would love to see more prediction capabilities. It would be great if one could see the alerts get a little more enriched with information and become more human-friendly instead of the technical stuff that they put in there. I think those would be really awesome outcomes to get.I would like to see more out-of-the-box dashboards for in-depth application monitoring of standard products that are out there.I would like to see integration with Kubernetes cluster and APIs so that you can manage the entire stack.

Pricing and Cost Advice
The product, support, and maintenance are all expensive, which is another reason that we are switching to another solution. In general, the license cost will be about 30% of the total TCO for this tool (hardware/support team, OS costs, and OS management).

Different locations require different setups. In your terms, around 300 to around 400K USD.Educational pricing is available for this solution. We were given a year's worth of service. It was included within our ELA. We were trying to do a proof of concept, which is almost over now.
