We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

It gives complete stats of the user and what they are doing. It is very stable and reliable. It alerts us, or can detect, potential problems which are building up.It has more functionality, better additional components, and better management of problems. It also has a good AI.It has been doing a good job of alerting us to issues. It has been very helpful and effective at identifying how we can do things to make our infrastructure and application a little better. In general, it has helped me go through different logs more easily when something breaks. The most valuable feature is the monitoring of application performance. The graphical interface is helpful, as it illustrates things well for anyone who wants to know about the information it provides.

SiteScope has built-in flat file DB, hence it removes the dependency of an external DB for higher stability.Has a simple setup. It can be up and running within hours. It can monitor over a 100 technologies with built-in solution templates. The Monitor Templates functionality allowed us to spin up monitoring with .csv files pretty easily.Simplest tool for monitoring servers, web content, databases and other hardware. Its dashboard is really good.Simple deployment: The deployment uses protocols such as NetBios, SSH, WMI, SNMP, which means that any device with any of these protocols will be monitored.

The functionality needs improvement.Because we are financial, there are certain things that we cannot put on the cloud. However, that is a given fact, not only for us. It is a given fact for any financial company because of PCI compliance. Because of PCI compliance, companies don't take the risk of putting data in the cloud. The GUI has the most room for improvement. Sometimes, it can be a little cumbersome to find things and be able to create your own views, or be able to dig in and understand where things are.It needs a better way to figure out how to dig deeper into the details, e.g., sometimes we have to wade through multiple logs, etc.I would like Dynatrace to be more flexible and user-friendly.Every time we spin up an EC2 instance, we have to slap an agent on it and that is more work. So, if it could go agentless, that would be great. The new Managed Edition is too complex. I feel like a fish out of water. As we move into using more AWS native architectures, it should support everything that we want to do. We don't want to adopt another tool.

Direct integration with an SMS gateway for sending critical alerts to the support SME. This will help customer investing in third party middleware solutions for SMS.They have not kept up with browser security requirements or advances in GUIs, they switched to a corruptible database architecture instead of text config files. They should provide more templates for new vendor devices. It could be more reliable using a database repository instead of a log repository.

Pricing and Cost Advice
Purchasing through the AWS Marketplace is excellent. The pricing and licensing are very expensive.Purchasing through the AWS Marketplace was a pretty straightforward process. We had no hiccups.I think the pricing is at a fair value for what it is.The product is pricey, but it is feature-rich, which is why we probably haven't looked away from it.The price could be improved. There is time savings. People's times have been cut in half using this solution because we were previously doing a lot of that manual work. Now, it's a lot more automated, and the data is just there. While it is quite good in respect to its functionality, there are few area in regards to pricing that they can look at how to possibly change. I have heard it's costly.

SiteScope licensing can be node based-or monitor-based. I would recommend for node-based licensing. You have to pay for their "solution templates". Other tools do not charge you for knowledge-based monitoring bundles.
