We performed a comparison between Eggplant Test and Worksoft Certify based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Test Automation Tools solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."GUI testing is the strength of the tool. The tool works as expected, and the support response from eggPlant, as a company, has been quick and substantial."
"The most valuable features of Eggplant Digital Automation Intelligence are bug hunting and OCR technology."
"Good text reading ability."
"We did see a massive return on investment from using Eggplant."
"It is easy to set up."
"The most valuable feature is the ability to create code from a flow chart, and then run the code through it."
"The solution is a stable one."
"We are able to now automate tests, which so far have been manual."
"Certify integrates with other tools and it works very well with other machine testing applications."
"Provides all the in-built functionalities and is a wonderful tool."
"One of the biggest advantages for this solution is codeless automation. Because it is codeless, you can train people within a couple of hours."
"It is a lot easier to maintain test scripts on Worksoft Certify than on other testing tools that we have had in the past."
"The turn around time for getting the automation tester familiarized with the tool is very quick, as it doesn't have any coding. It is fairly simple to understand."
"It is a huge improvement, as it recognizes complex general applications, where most tools won't recognize the objects within them."
"It provides a lot of time savings. We are always ready to execute a task whenever the business asks us. We saved approximately 7000 hours in 2018."
"We have been able to save on a lot of manual work for some very high skilled, expensive resources. This has been able to free up a significant amount of their time so they can spend more time on innovation and more creative, value-add activities. That's been one of the more rewarding things that we've done, and the most appreciated."
"There was no free trial in it."
"Eggplant Test should emphasize on improving its offering in non-Windows environments."
"We found that we had issues regarding the VPN setup, which is one of the reasons that we did not purchase this solution."
"The solution would crash from time to time."
"A step forward would be to have event support, because it is more or less linear at the moment."
"I would like to see standardized actions already built into Eggplant. For example, "wait eight seconds". That way, I wouldn't need to create it as an action. Right now, I have to program that wait and describe it as an action so that everybody knows it is an action that waits eight seconds... That way, somebody who is not familiar with programming processes like "if-else", or "for", or "while", would be able, from the first moment, and without programming, to put some easy-to-use, standardized, actions in place."
"The language is too specific; it is just for Eggplant."
"The IDE could be even more full-featured. Because I was a developer, I was very spoiled by either Visual Studio Code or Visual Studio for shortcuts. For example, I was able to say "ctor" and hit Tab and it would create a template of a constructor for me... It would be great, when I want to create a new function, if there were shortcut commands like those that helped create all of the functions, or if there were shortcut features to do any of the complex plans."
"I would like BPP to have more filtering options during the report creation. This would make our customers happy."
"They have a scheduler in Execution Manager, but it is not customizable. Its UI needs a lot of improvement. The lights-out testing is a bit difficult with that particular tool, and it needs a lot of improvement. Of course, there are so many integration options with Worksoft for execution, but when it comes to Execution Manager, which is their own tool, there is a lot of scope for improvement."
"Technical support's first response to us is usually late."
"When it comes to mobile testing, we have a small bottleneck there. You have to buy third-party separate licenses if you want to test on a mobile. Business wise we see room for improvement there, although it's that really critical for us."
"The technical support of the product is an area of concern where certain improvements are required."
"We can't get the process intelligence module to work properly. We can't get the impact comment that analyzes the incoming development code to run, either. We've also had bugs in the CTM and execution manager in the past year. It took technical support a long time to resolve this issue. We escalated it so that the vice president of the company was included as well."
"The overall speed and performance of this solution could be improved. In a future release, it would be useful to be able to do API testing."
"Worksoft Certify needs improvement on customization of reporting and how you report final outcomes."
