We performed a comparison between Elastic Security and SolarWinds Log Analyzer based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out what your peers are saying about Splunk, Datadog, Wazuh and others in Log Management."The cost is reasonable. It's not overly pricey."
"It's very stable and reliable."
"The most valuable thing is that this solution is widely used for work management and research. It's easy to jump into the security use case with the same technology."
"Elastic Security is a highly flexible platform that can be implemented anywhere."
"The feature that we have found the most valuable is scalability."
"The intelligence of the system has been very impressive. It's not quite AI, but the technical bit where it correlates information, based on the seen attacks within an organization is good."
"Elastic is straightforward, easy to integrate, and highly customizable."
"Elastic has a lot of beats, such as Winlogbeat and Filebeat. Beats are the agents that have to be installed on the terminals to send the data. When we install beats or Elastic agents on every terminal, they don't overload the terminals. In other SIEM solutions such as Splunk or QRadar, when beats or agents are installed on endpoints, they are very heavy for the terminals. They consume a lot of power of the terminals, whereas Elastic agents hardly consume any power and don't overload the terminals."
"SolarWinds Log Analyzer works for specific conditions, like when someone needs to monitor a specific log or do specific actions."
"We'd like to see some more artificial intelligence capabilities."
"Elastic Security's maintenance is hard and its scalability is a challenge. There are complications in scaling and upgrading. The solution needs to also provide periodic upgrade checks."
"One limitation of Elastic Security is that it does not have built-in workflows for all tasks. For example, if you need a workflow for compliance, you will need to create a custom workflow."
"With Elastic, you have to build the use cases for the specific requirement. Other products have a simple integration and more use cases to integrate out-of-the-box solutions for SIEM."
"The solution could offer better reporting features."
"This type of monitoring is not very mature just yet. We need more real-time information in a way that's easier to manage."
"The price of this product could be improved, especially the additional costs. I would also like to see better-quality graphics."
"We'd like better premium support."
"SolarWinds Log Analyzer should deliver more integrated products so you can manage the console and easily configure the solution."
