Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is quite stable. The performance has been good.""Elastic is straightforward, easy to integrate, and highly customizable.""The cost is reasonable. It's not overly pricey.""We chose the product based on the ability to scan for malware using a malware behavioral model as opposed to just a traditional hash-based antivirus. Therefore, it's not as intensive.""The most valuable feature is the search function, which allows me to go directly to the target to see the specific line a customer is searching for.""The scalability is good. It can be scaled easily in the production environment.""Enables monitoring of application performance and the ability to predict behaviors.""It's very customizable, which is quite helpful."

"Great cloud management.""This product is quite stable and there are no problems with it.""In terms of the Firewall, the EAP assist, the simple interface and the reporting features are quite good for clients. It's very easy to understand and to navigate the Dashboard.""It's very light on the endpoints.""It is doing its job. We use it for standard antivirus purposes and for making sure that people aren't downloading infected attachments. Because we use the cloud version, it is easy to maintain. We don't have to do anything to really maintain it. It gets updated automatically.""The solution is easy to set up.""Synchronized security is a great feature. My firewall knows exactly what is happening in my endpoint.""Our experience with Sophos has been notable; it's database-driven and efficiently integrates to inspect and protect us against biases, malware, and attacks."

Cons
"The solution could also use better dashboards. They need to be more graphical, more matrix-like.""Their visuals and graphs need to be better.""There is room for improvement in the Kibana dashboard and in the asset management for the program.""The process of designing dashboards is a little cumbersome in Kibana. Unless you are an expert, you will not be able to use it. The process should be pretty straightforward. The authentication feature is what we are looking for. We would love to have a central authentication system in the open-source edition without the need for a license or an enterprise license. If they can give at least a simple authentication system within a company. In a large organization, authentication is very essential for security because logs can contain a lot of confidential data. Therefore, an authentication feature for who accesses it should be there.""Improvements in Elastic Security could include refining and normalizing queries to make them more user-friendly, enhancing the user experience with better documentation, and addressing any latency issues.""With Elastic, you have to build the use cases for the specific requirement. Other products have a simple integration and more use cases to integrate out-of-the-box solutions for SIEM.""There are connectors to gather logs for Windows PCs and Linux PCs, but if we have to get the logs from Syslog then we have to do it manually, and this should be automated.""We set up a cron job to delete old logs so that we wouldn't hit a disk space issue. Such a feature should be available in the UI, where old logs can be deleted automatically. (Don’t know if this feature is already there)."

"Sophos EPP Suite's support services need improvement.""We have to use additional third-party solutions to fill the gaps in the capabilities of Sophos EPP Suite, such as using a mobility scanner. It would be helpful to add this feature.""Lacks delegated administration privileges for large organizations, and differential permissions for admins.""It would be ideal if the price could be lowered a little bit.""The solution needs to perform better or update its anti-ransomware and anti-malware engines to keep up with the latest hacking techniques.""If we could bypass the first couple of levels of support when we have a problem then it would be easier and quicker when we need an issue resolved.""Sophos EPP Suite demands significant resources just to operate. For example, it takes up more than 50% of the resources on our laptop to run it. So, even if we buy a laptop i7 and use 50% resources for Sophos, it will cost us more because every computer needs energy. I don't know why or what the exact problem is.""The update part is a bit tricky in the solution...The support is not that good."
