We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The most valuable feature is device control.""We like that content-aware and device controls can easily be managed. They're not complicated. You don't need to be a rocket scientist to understand them.""The core of its value lies in obtaining logs remotely and exercising control over what employees can or cannot use.""Its robust security audit and compliance functionalities prove especially beneficial for businesses in sectors like BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) and Information Technology.""Compared to a lot of the USB management systems out there, Endpoint Protector is the only one that comes with true USB management and the DLP side of it. I'm pretty impressed because I've used several solutions with DLP and USB management, and I've never seen granularity like this solution has.""The most valuable features are Device Control, Content-Aware Protection, Enforced Encryption, and eDiscovery.""The search for keywords is very important in our security operations because one of the key use cases we had was for the ability to search keyword-based on an internal database of keywords that have been submitted by other project managers within the company that's around intellectual property. The ability to search on keywords was part of that.""The interface is pretty user-friendly, neatly explained, and simple to use."

"It is a stable solution...The initial setup of Safetica ONE is simple.""Safetica ONE is easy to use and set up. We can set up rules and policies quickly.""The most valuable things about Safetica ONE are its comprehensive features, competitive pricing, and a strong focus on data security and compliance.""The current version of the solution is stable...It is easy to scale the solution.""When you subscribe to the DLP, the system manages and protects your files well from the cloud.""ESET Safetica is a cost-effective solution for customers who need a small quantity along with a competitive price.""The most valuable feature is the data classification.""The solution's most valuable feature is data leak protection."

Cons
"It would be helpful to implement filtering mechanisms so that we can sort and view the data based on software and vendor, providing more clarity and ease in analysis.""It would be better if they had an inbound restriction feature. For example, I work out of my home from my personal computer. All my policies can be deployed while working. When I am done, I should be able to use my machine as my personal machine, and all these policies should be waived. In the next release, I want time bound restriction of the policies because most of these users were working out of home and using their personal computers.""I would like to see an alert feature that when a system is started, it checks to make sure that the client has the most up-to-date policies.""Because it is only an Endpoint Protector at this point in time, it does not have a network DLP component. There's only an endpoint DLP component. In the future, it would be good if a network DLP component could be embedded and extended to have network DLP capabilities.""Customization could be a lot better.""We are currently facing an issue where it is blocking the Winman software, which is something that we don't want to happen because we use it in our accounts department to pay taxes.""One of the areas where there is room for improvement is support. It takes time for them to respond. They need to respond on time. Instead of sending an email, I think it would be very helpful to say, 'Let's set up a WebEx to see what's really going on,' instead of the back and forth of email.""I would rate the role-based access features for administrators a six out of ten. There's work to be done on the granularity of roles that can be assigned to an administrator but there is role-based administrator access present. That's why it's not a zero rating."

"Safetica ONE fails to support Linux.""ESET Safetica’s stability could be improved.""Safetica One has every other thing that you need, so I cannot give Safetica NXT a higher mark because it does not have the full features of the enterprise solutions.""One area for improvement in Safetica is its firewall integration feature.""The product needs to improve support.""There are some minor issues with the price and support of the solution that needs to be improved.""This solution could be improved if it was available on Linux as well. Currently it can only be deployed on Mac and Windows.""The solution's most valuable feature is data leak protection."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "This is a budget-friendly solution that covers all the aspects of host-level DLP."
  • "The price of Endpoint Protector by CoSoSys is more or less the same as other competing solutions."
  • "It has a fair price. They just changed recently from perpetual licensing. When I bought it, I bought it on perpetual license, then they changed the whole company policy to go to subscription. It was a bit of a shock to us because we haven't upgraded it that many times. However, after speaking to CoSoSys directly, they gave us a very good renewal price."
  • "I don't have any issue with the licensing and pricing. I would love for it to be cheaper, but at the same time I'm getting a lot from it."
  • "[The pricing] is reasonable compared to what's out there."
  • "Pricing is quite reasonable. For smaller organizations, it lets them get into the product domain, whereas a lot of vendors won't even talk to them. CoSoSys is just about at that sweet spot of being serious enough that you have to budget for it, but at the same time, affordable enough that the value is well worth it."
  • "The minimum number of licenses they sell is 50 or 150 users."
  • "For what it's doing, the cost is somewhat high for us, but it's the cost of doing business with the clients that we have."

  • "The licensing cost for this solution depends on the deal size and your use case. In our instance, it costs $35 per user per year. This is a reasonable price."
  • "The pricing for ESET Safetica is less as compared to other solutions. The customers have to pay only for the license."
  • "Customers need to pay for a yearly license per device."
  • "Safetica ONE is expensive."
