We performed a comparison between Ephesoft Transact and UiPath based on real PeerSpot user reviews.
Find out in this report how the two Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions compare in terms of features, pricing, service and support, easy of deployment, and ROI."Transact's best feature is its ease of customization."
"I have found the keyword extraction to be helpful."
"I like the inject feature. With desktop injects, we're doing all these things and extracting these things. Its stable, scalable, and technical support is good."
"Technical support has been good. I am happy with their response times."
"I like UiPath's Orchestrator. It's the core piece."
"I am able to get answers on issues regarding UiPath in the Forum and I can also automate faster because of the reusable components available in UiPath Go!"
"I like the low-code/no-code approach and the graphical interface. Among all the RPA tools, UiPath is the one with the easiest interface."
"It has mainly taken the load off of employees. We had a huge amount of tasks which weren't being done. It provides our employees time to do their other work, since we automated very manual things."
"The fact that we have the opportunity to access all of our services without any requirements from our side suits us very well."
"My organization has been pretty happy with the amount of scalability that it has provided. One bot can literally run multiple processes and process millions of records."
"The UiPath Academy was pretty helpful for us in the initial stages."
"Their email service and extraction could be better. We get the input via email, and these emails contain different types of documents like Excel, PDF, or they may contain different content in the email body. Due to this variation, sometimes the email service crashes, and emails aren't redirected to Ephesoft Transact. Ephesoft has provided us with new hotfixes. Whatever flaws we found in the 2019.2 version, they have already updated it in the new version, 20.1.05, and it's already released. Drawbacks like not capturing the handwritten fields are now sorted."
"Transact could be improved by removing Java and making its pricing more accessible for smaller customers."
"It's not easy to train."
"One thing that I would really like to see is some migration processes between environments."
"UiPath needs to improve the selector and offer better integration for Python."
"Computational text recognition has room for improvement as it is not 100 percent accurate."
"Between version 19 and version 20, the orchestrator tool interface has changed a lot. It totally changed. The menu changed, the place of the button changed. It took me a week to understand and to make myself used to this new interface."
"UiPath can probably work on improving the AI features. We tried UiPath's AI functionality in our automation program. We did some research on that, but right now, nothing is in production. When we did some research, we weren't getting the expected results. We weren't completely satisfied with the results, so we put it aside. It could be a drawback on our side in terms of learning the tool."
"UiPath should focus more on recommendations of process automation based on ERP Applications like Oracle, SAP etc. They should also provide a list of possible RPA cases as per departments, processes and based on various industry domains."
"The product must improve partner enablement and support midmarket partners."
"We have not seen it do OCR, and that would be helpful. Right now, the tool will not read a PDF file, and we can't use PDF files. We want it to able to take an image, then take that image and put the particular field out in the right spot in a table. We have not seen it where you can scan a document in, then it reads fields and places those in a table."
