"The console is easy to read. I also like the scanning part and the ability to move assets from one to the other."
"I like FortiClient EMS. FortiEDR has a lot of great features like lockdown mode, remote wipes, and encryption. I can set malware outbreak policies and controls for detecting abnormalities. You can also simulate phishing attacks."
"This is stable and scalable."
"Forensics is a valuable feature of Fortinet FortiEDR."
"The setup is pretty simple."
"The price is low and quite competitive with others."
"The ease of deployment and configuration is valuable. It's very easy compared to other vendors like Sophos. Sophos' configuration is complex. Fortinet is a lot easier to understand. You don't need a lot of admin knowledge to do the configuration."
"It notifies us if there's any suspicious file on any PC. If any execution or similar kind of thing is happening, it just alerts us. It doesn't only alert. It also blocks the execution until we allow it. We check whether the execution is legitimate or not, and then approve it or keep it blocked. This gives us a little bit of control over this mechanism. Fortinet FortiEDR is also very straightforward and easy to maintain."
"What is great about ESET is the ERA Web Console through which we can pull various reports, monitor and administer all clients and servers, and the console is easy to use."
"The overall security capability of the product is pretty reliable."
"The most valuable features are the sandbox, mail scanning, sandboxing attachments, files, and that it responds to VPN porting."
"I have found ESET Endpoint Antivirus is light on system resources compared with other antivirus solutions that tend to be very heavy on the computers system resources. Additionally, the solution is very secure."
"Primarily used to protect computers from viruses and ransomware."
"The solution has very useful MDM features."
"The most valuable thing for me is that when I'm using the internet and I reach some site that isn't so secure, or isn't recommended because they don't have a good reputation, ESET will notify me."
"The product is good and has a good interface."
"I like the additional features that come with it. The firewall feature and the encryption feature that they throw in are good as well. Another thing that I like about Symantec is that it runs on different platforms, not just on Windows."
"The most valuable feature of Symantec Endpoint Security is the protection of our systems."
"The solution's application control feature is very, very powerful."
"Helps to protect our organization from known attacks."
"Scalability."
"Some important features that are included are the built-in firewall and device control."
"It is a stable product."
"It's a single-agent installation with many features including wireless protection."
"To improve Fortinet, we need to see more features and technology areas at the endpoint level introduced."
"The amount of usage, the number of details we get, or the number of options that can be tweaked is limited in comparison to that with other EDR solutions"
"It takes about two business days for initial support, which is too slow in urgent situations."
"Everything with Fortinet having to do with their cloud services. They need to invest more in their internal infrastructure that they are running in the cloud. One of the things I find with their cloud environment compared to others' is that they go cheap on the equipment. So it causes some performance degradation."
"Once, we had an event that was locked and blocked, but information about it came to us two or three days later."
"The security should be strong for the cloud. Some applications are on-prem and some are on the cloud. Fortinet should also have strong security for the cloud. There should be more security for the cloud."
"FortiEDR can be improved by providing more detailed reporting."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"Dual management for the customer, who needs to access the local on-premise console from a remote cloud-based console."
"The solution lacks the automation I need."
"If I were in an environment that required a large-scale deployment then I would choose another solution over ESET."
"The solution can improve the modules, and it is lacking centralized management and visibility of the endpoints."
"It would be useful if they could automate the deployment more."
"The problem was that it didn't support Windows 7."
"The solution could have a more user-friendly interface."
"After we did the initial setup of ESET Endpoint Security, we had to inform users about popups. This solution comes with an in-built software firewall and there can be some popups coming. We must tell the user not to keep, allow, or block anything. That is the main issue on the user side we have faced. The user's experience may not be as good."
"It seems that its not working very well with VMWare."
"They lack the visibility you get in a heuristical, artificial, AI type of product, like a next-gen antivirus."
"The management of the server is a bit complex."
"The Centralized Management could be improved."
"The device can be outdated. More enhancement of network and discovery would help already great features."
"Any external device which is inserted into a computer should be subject to an auto-scan policy, to automatically scan it before accepting the device... They need to make it more user-friendly, so that when anyone puts in a USB stick it will be scanned, popping up any problems before it is used."
"There is room for improvement in the zero-day threat detection system."
"I would like to be able to migrate to the cloud so that the end-users outside the company offices don't need a VPN to connect to the Symantec server to update the policies. They should be able to connect to the admin center directly through the internet to get updated policies. There is some integration issue with the other security appliances or tools. Other hardware, firewall, or Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution vendors are not willing to integrate with Symantec. They only mention products from other vendors such as CrowdStrike and Carbon Black. Symantec is not there. Symantec should work on integration with products from other security vendors."
