Cons
"The only problem is that at the moment it's an Extreme product and Extreme is not really pushing it. They have to make up for weak innovation and I'm not sure if they want to do that.""Its scalability can be better. If possible, it can have Hyper POE. I am not sure if there is a fiber version.""I would like the ability to stack with different switch brands."

More Extreme VDX [EOL] Cons →

"The solution does not yet offer a SaaS version.""If MikroTik had a marketing team and support team in India then it would be much easier for us to get the product, as well as support.""The packet filtering, user log data, and user access log could all be improved.""The user interface could improve and they should allow a license for IBS.""Stuff that I'd like to be improved is really just training and documentation because I think the feature set is full. Another improvement I'd suggest is that their new, bigger releases should be a bit more stable.""Improvements are needed with respect to some of the security, especially for VPN links between vendors other than Cisco.""The port isolation and VLAN need to be improved.""It happens that you may find your network is down, if you reboot the switch, they come up. However, sometimes, they reset themselves. That's a big issue."
