We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Defender for 365 is a comprehensive cloud-based solution. The value of the cloud is that you aren't alone. Threat intelligence and analytics are shared in the cloud. We don't have to find the solution alone. If you face an unknown threat with traditional solutions like Trend Micro and Symantec, you need to open a case and send your information to them to analyze forensically and identify the source of the attack.""I like its investigation capabilities, as that is what is most important to me. It is fairly simple with a user-friendly interface.""I would say that 90% of the spam and phishing attack emails get blocked right off the bat.""It gives us visibility into threats and, for endpoints, it helps us to prioritize threats. We used to have a lack of visibility, but now our time to detect and respond has decreased.""The most valuable feature of Microsoft Defender for Office 365 is the ease of use.""It also gives the vulnerability status according to the versions you have selected. Let's say you have Google Chrome. It mentions the versions it has, and it updates. Within two hours of an update, it is reflected in the dashboard. That's really nice to have.""Our customers are satisfied with Defender for 365 because Microsoft products are easy to use and customize to meet the client's needs. Everything is in one place, so we can adjust policies as needed for phishing, DLP, ATP, or any other security features that our clients want to apply.""The two main features that prove most beneficial for us are URL scanning and attachment scanning."

"I like how versatile the options are. For example, we can set it where we are able to access and browse Facebook but we are denied the ability to post photos. There is also that ability integrate with Office 365 - SharePoint app.""It is good at data leakage prevention (DLP). You can create the data exfiltration profile while sending the emails, which is one of the key advantages of the solution.""It's easier to deploy than other options.""The feature I find most valuable is the web, email and DLP integration.""The email and the web filter aspects of the solution are the most valuable features.""The most valuable features of Forcepoint Email Security are the integration with other solutions. It provides a more secure infrastructure and views for the customers from the DLP. You can work on URLs, files, and advanced inspections that will protect the customers.""We have found the product to be stable.""The Forcepoint Email Security roadmap easily integrates with the data loss prevention (DLP) suite of Forcepoint. Therefore, the customer doesn't have to buy another solution for DLP."

"The solution protects users from phishing links and spam.""The deployment is very easy. It's quite straightforward.""The best thing about it is the logs.""The tool's most valuable feature is the anti-spam detection filter. Its threat email intelligence features help to identify email data.""Good VIP protection, time of click protection and the Sandstorm feature.""There are many features that are important, but among those, the spam protection feature is very valuable. It help us to safeguard the email against phishing and ensures that there is maximum security enabled for our communication processes. It has a huge role in protecting our emails from potential threats.""The anti-malware, risk scanning has been pretty spot on.""The platform is scalable when installed on server-based systems."

Cons
"You should be able to deploy Defender for every subscription without the need to add servers.""About eight months ago, we started to measure the quantity of phishing and spam that we have been receiving, and it has been increasing a lot. That means that protection for our email is not as good as we were expecting.""Microsoft should provide more documentation for users so they can self-educate. I would like to see more documentation for advanced security features.""The pre-sales cost calculations could be more transparent.""Microsoft Defender for Office 365 must improve the overall management style, including the GUI. It also needs to change the filters so that it is easy to whitelist and blacklist data.""Microsoft wants its well-paying customers to finish testing some of its half-baked products, find bugs, and report bugs back to Microsoft's team, which is a little frustrating for those who have to manage it and roll it up to thousands of people across the organization.""We need to be able to whitelist data at the backend.""In some situations, it has not been able to pick impersonated emails having no attachments. Technical support definitely has a scope for improvement."

More Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Cons →

"Forcepoint Email Security is stable, but it could be improved.""I would like to see some improvement like cloud application and integration capabilities and the classification part is missing from the DLP.""It would be better if it were simpler to deploy on one or two machines instead of three or four machines.""It's quite difficult to learn this solution, it's not an entry level product. If you are a skilled user you will think it's a very useful tool, but if you are not a skilled user, you'll think it is very difficult to learn.""I would like for deployment to be simplified.""We've fixed a couple of issues on the solution so far. It doesn't work perfectly all the time.""This solution could be improved by providing further functionality to reduce or to block ransom attacks, cross-site scripting and man-in-the-middle attacks.""An area for improvement in Forcepoint Email Security is technical support. The agents need to be more knowledgeable. The support also needs to be faster."

More Forcepoint Email Security [EOL] Cons →

"Sophos Email could better detect fake emails, especially when the domain names are similar. It needs to improve spotting spoofed domains, like when one letter differs in a domain name. It also needs to incorporate AI detection. Barracuda detects suspicious emails better. However, malware scanning is better in Sophos Email.""The product could include all the essential features and capabilities, similar to the on-premise, server-based version.""Servicing and support are areas with shortcomings where the solution needs to improve.""Sophos Email needs to increase the number of promos.""Sophos Email has few improvements to implement, including the handling of incoming emails in the systems. It needs to add additional feature that helps in enhancing the scanning processes of these emails. While adding these features, it should work towards improving the current features also.""The solution has not found a way to block certain kinds of phishing emails.""Lacks visibility into spam emails.""The main drawback is regarding the technical support."
