The spam filter is very effective. The antiviral sandboxing.Once deployed, the management console is simple and easy to use.For the most part, the solution, when set up correctly, works fine. The most valuable feature is the categorization, where you can allow general access to an application but limit specific features. In terms of functionality, Forcepoint is the best web proxy available. The most valuable feature of Forcepoint Web Security is creating the easy to install further policies that are deployed through the Forcepoint security manual at some stage. Just drag and drop and the policies are there. It has protected clients against cyberattacks.

Cons
Missing a real data leakage prevention solution.Data reporting could be improved. They need to improve analytics so they report on more of the specifics of user activity. In the next release, I would like to see the integration of VDI NSX with Cisco Umbrella. It has happened in the past that Cisco Umbrella has denied us access to secure websites. The reporting could be improved by way of the information that's displayed. For example, when you pull a report, it shows an internal employee going to many websites, but you can spin that right down by saying a lot of it is being cached.I would like to see integration with SecurNX in the future. This solution does not give us full, 360-degree protection.

We have a lot of false positives, which is one area that can be improved.Sometimes attacks or a new ransomware gets through. In the on-premises version, I don't like the deployment and structuring of the device.Overall the software is occupying too much memory space. If they could remedy that, it would be a better experience, because today Windows is occupying too much memory space as well (in terms of the RAM), and this software has also started occupying all the memory. Due to this, I have less space for my other office products and data. I can't, for example, operate a huge Excel sheet or other datasets. The deployment is a bit complex and it requires expertise to deploy, which is something that should be improved and made easier to do.The solution should be better able to support itself and operate faster. Sometimes the technical support team takes too long to respond. The firewall doesn't have any features because some customers are requesting they will install the firewall without licensing. At this time we cannot go further without licensing. Licensing is a must with Forcepoint Web Security firewalls.Ease of use could be improved.

Lacking filter for spam. The manufacturerers should have more transparancy about exactly what is getting filtered when you use the product and why.We used a consultant to help us set it up. Unfortunately, he was not that good. They were out of McAfee people. He was a consultant and knew the product, but he was not a McAfee person. How they managed it and how they worked was not straightforward. The configuration could be simplified because it is more complex to make the configuration on McAfee. What can be improved is the support of the agent on smartphones, IOS or Android. That still now is not available yet.The solution should be more proactive in regards to sending you updates. We need a better customer experience and more flexibility in the product.

Pricing and Cost Advice
The licensing part for Umbrella is really flexible. There are three models for licensing with different feature sets.Cisco uses subscription models for the pricing and there are three subscription plans.I am not sure, I don't have the numbers in front of me, but I think it's $1.00 or so per device/month.Cisco has a model called ELA. With ELA, if you buy the solution you will have the complete security portfolio and you can pay it yearly or after three years, it depends on the contract.Licensing fees are paid on a yearly basis. Our licensing fees are on a yearly basis. Our costs were negotiated, and they are okay.
