Pros
The most valuable feature of Forcepoint Web Security is creating the easy to install further policies that are deployed through the Forcepoint security manual at some stage. Just drag and drop and the policies are there. It has protected clients against cyberattacks.Giving visibility to people's actions in the network, while keeping attackers out: across data centers, offices, branches, and the cloud. Most valuable features are content filtering and monitoring.Ease of updating the latest hotfixes and patches on the appliance.Transparent Mode: Since we have multiple sites and roaming users, it has helped us in deploying the proxy to users without having to push any configurations to end users.Ability to send decrypted traffic to other security solutions for inspection.Real-time analytics.

I think the solution works well as a suite. It really is a combination of features. The advanced threat protection, and antivirus, the malware protection, etc., everything that comes in the suite is very good. The scanning feature is impressive, because they do not introduce a big latency to the traffic.Zscaler Web Security protects our users in remote locations from internet threats - even if they are not connected to our network. All internet access flows through the Zscaler proxy, regardless of whether people are in office or remote. I have greater control site access and I minimize the number of compromises that we experience to almost none.Whether you are in a hotel somewhere, or in Africa, it does not matter. You will get the Zscaler protection presence anywhere.Tech support is good.Zscaler excels in security protection and the cloud is always up-to-date. It does not matter if you are a small or big organisation, you will receive the same security quality. One on the main benefits is protection all time from anywhere.

Cons
The firewall doesn't have any features because some customers are requesting they will install the firewall without licensing. At this time we cannot go further without licensing. Licensing is a must with Forcepoint Web Security firewalls.Ease of use could be improved. There are several issues with the product. Version 8.4 can only be managed with a CLI, they removed the nice GUI interface from version 8.1. The load-balancing needs massive improvements. The incident lists don’t sync between appliances, they need to be manually edited for each one.Improve detailed guidelines to deploy the transparent proxy to Firefox users.Security of browsing. The reporting could be improved.Database synchronization failuresAllow for faster exemption of websites or the ability to reclassify websites.

In every cloud service in the world, you have multiple upstream internet providers to create diversity so that if one of your providers fails, your network just continues. In South Africa, there is only one upstream provider, and that's not right. That that's a problem.I would like to see the ability to choose a pool of IPs for my company, set up rules based on them, and know that those IPs are not used by other companies.Another thing that I would like to see is if Zscaler could have a separate product for direct access. I looked at a private access solution, but I understand there's a separate product that isn't integrated with this.It needs better integration with other applications. It takes a fair amount of regular activity to apply the by-passes because it is very strict in its restrictions and frequently you have to go in and open things up to allow the workforce to work. The pricing is an issue. It is expensive if you have all of your users in the same location. It is expensive compared to other firewalls on the market. When you have appliances, SSL inspection is always a headache due to poor performance and/or lack of ciphers implemented. Do not expect to pay for the service and start using it, like Gmail. Zscaler requires a proper implementation to be done to make it successful.

Roughly, we might spend $70,000 a month on the solution. We don't pay for anything beyond the standard licensing fee.Our monthly fee is around R3000.The pricing is an issue. It is expensive compared to other firewalls on the market.Be aware that you will need to invest some time and money to adapt your environment for Zscaler (traffic redirection, software deployment, authentication, etc).
