It's a good solution, and they have something called Suite incorporating many, many engines like encryption, GLB, anti-virus.This solution protects us from virus attacks before they affect the organization. The product offers almost all of the features the client expects from such a solution.I would emphasize the ease of use and the quality of operations. Trend Micro is quite stable. The ease of deployment is one of its most valuable features. The scalability is perfect. The DDAN and the sand boxing features are very good and accurate.Stability is okay.

Cons
FortiClient is not communicating with the new version of the firewall. The pricing of the solution should be less expensive.Technical support is awful. Their online response time is not prompt. They should not respond after four or five days. Their support guys are not competent enough. Small issues are taking time. The memory check needs to be improved, giving better visibility into the run-time memory. The pricing could use improvement. The price could also use improvement.I would like to see an improvement in the web filter, because I think it can be more user-friendly.Initially, the support was very poor. It is getting better, but they should continue to improve this.

We cover many things, but there is something called ATP, advanced threat prevention. I think they need to invest in this technology. The alert, or warning function, needs to be improved.Product performance needs improvement. Customers face the same performance issues on the endpoint of the product. We need improvement on that side.Technical support is very very slow. There is no French support. Only English. The experts are in England, the United States, or Japan, I don't know where. So the support is really lacking. We had a few occasions where we had to turn off our clients' computers to upgrade the drivers. There is room for improvement in next-gen attacks protection.Recently, we had a malware attack and considered looking at other cloud solutions because of this breach.I am expecting an Apple featured IDLP solution with OfficeScan, where we have only IDLP. Also, the ADR functionality in our Office Scan solution would be a nice addition. Genrally, the ADR solutions are the only failed ends of the solutions we have found with Trend Micro.

The price is okay and competitive.Fortinet requires you to buy a lot of product in order for you to have proper protection. An annual license costs about 1.5 to 3,000 US dollars. There are no additional costs.Anyone can download this product for free, but you have to have a FortiGate gateway that you are connecting to.Licensing was free up to ten users and after that, it was pretty reasonable.

It's well priced at a yearly rate. The price itself depends on whether the solution is full suite, half suite, or some other engine. It's different according to the consumer's requests.I think that this product is expensive. On a yearly basis, it's about $50,000. There are no costs in addition to the standard licensing fees.Pricing and licensing are competitive with other solutions on the market.

Overview

Securing your endpoints against sophisticated threats on a myriad of devices can be very challenging:

  • Managing separate endpoint features is complex and time-consuming.
  • Disparate security products don't share intelligence, resulting in slow threat response.
  • Lack of InfoSec expertise to effectively administer endpoint security can let threats slip through your defenses.
Micro OfficeScan provides modern threat protection for anti-malware, packer variants, device control, command and control (C&C) traffic, browser exploits, behavior monitoring, web threats, census-based control, and more.
