Quotes From Members
We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"The solution is pretty solid.""The integrated Fortinet security with the app that allows you to easily do the two-factor authentication is most valuable.""Its ease of installation is most valuable. It took me five minutes, and it was up and running. It didn't take me that long. The installation on the cell phones is pretty simple.""The deployment is quick and simple.""The token-based authentication is good and modern aspect.""We like the mobile FortiToken.""The initial setup is easy. You receive a QR code via email, scan it, and add it. No complicated procedures involved.""Bangladesh is a price-sensitive market, and FortiToken is popular because it's more affordable than the Palo Alto and Cisco authentication solutions. Fortinet has a local director for Bangladesh, so they can deliver solutions to customers quickly."

"The solution has a smooth and configurable user interface for single sign-on capabilities.""The only feature we were looking for in PingID was SSO integration with our existing web app.""The mobile biometric authentication option improved user experience. It's always about security because, with two-factor authentication, it's always a separate device verifying the actual user logging in.""I find the auto-discovery feature the most valuable. It helps us automate a lot of things using a single password across applications.""We use the product to run different reports.""What I like best about PingID is that it's very user-friendly. PingID is well-built as a developer tool and regularly upgrades and updates via patches. I also like that PingID has clear documents that will help you integrate it with other solutions.""It provides ease of connecting all our devices.""This is a user-friendly solution."

Cons
"The problem is that our customers create budgets annually based on the figures at the beginning of the fiscal year. Our customers get annoyed when the price is adjusted in the middle of the year. I understand that it's a difficult time, and price increases make sense for hardware devices. However, FortiToken is a software product, so it shouldn't be affected by factors like chip shortages or supply chain issues. Software solutions should have more transparent and predictable pricing.""The solution works well. We have nothing to complain about.""I would like to see complete OAuth support. Also, if they can support it from a SaaS (Software as a Service) or cloud platform, that would be great.""The solution could introduce a mobile application instead of a physical product.""We can only use the tool with the FortiToken Mobile app.""Fortinet FortiToken could be lower for some markets.""Fortinet support has some room for improvement. It has taken a long time to resolve some issues or find a workaround.""I would rate the scalability a seven out of ten. The migration issue definitely brings it down a bit."

"The management console needs to be improved. PingID should revise it.""PingID would benefit from a better user interface for integration.""We have encountered instances where it is not easy to do authentication.""If the solution is going to compete with Microsoft, they need to offer more unique functionality to keep their current user base.""They could use some bio-certification. It's just more user-friendly and more convenient than entering the one time passes. That would be an improvement.""The product is not customizable.""PingID's device management portal should be more easily accessible via a link. They provide no link to the portal like they do for the service. The passwordless functionality could be more comprehensive. You can't filter based on hardware devices. Having that filtering option would be great. Device authentication would be a great feature.""PingID should put a little more effort into making a pretty self-explanatory deck about their tech features and the services they offer."

    Overview

As we've seen, passwords alone don't keep unwanted guests out of your network. Password-only authentication has led to security breaches, malware infections, and policy violations. With two-factor authentication, a password is used along with a security token and authentication server to provide far better security.  Authorized employees can remotely access company resources safely using a variety of devices, ranging from lpatops to mobile phones.

IDENTITY DEFINED SECURITY PLATFORM delivers a unified, standards-based platform that can be deployed as SaaS, software or both and can scale to handle millions of identities. From multi-factor authentication and single sign-on to access security, directory and data governance, our capabilities work together to give employees, partners and customers secure access to cloud, mobile and enterprise applications, securing and streamlined everything from sign-on to sign-off and everywhere in between.
