We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"I like the tool's controller facility.""I like the product's asset management which gives clear hardware details.""It does a little bit better than some of the other products health-wise and updates-wise. It is really clear that a firewall is getting the signature updates in this timeframe. In some of the other products, usually, you have to go a couple of screens in to see that, but not so much in this product.""The most valuable feature of this solution is application control.""The role-based access controls give us granular control over what features to present to a customer, and the integration into FortiAnalyzer is the most valuable feature.""The customer likes it for the graphs, the dynamics and the reporting functionality it offers.""I am very comfortable with it, including it's reporting on threats and through its activities.""From a scalability perspective, I found the solution to be completely fine...The solution's technical support is absolutely fine."

"Using Enterprise Manager, I was able to create user profiles for all the instances that have the same profile. Secondly, it's easier to manage performance, to automate the AWR reports to run every half an hour, or hour. Then, if you have a performance issue you just open the report and you can see what was running the last one hour, the SQL statements, or what was causing the performance issues.""Of course, that you can manage and create the backup strategies from a central environment for all your environments, so you don’t have to do so on each database. You can set up the policy you want for each database, but you do it from a central environment.""Another feature is the Resource Manager, where we can manage the consumption of resources of certain queries, separately in resource groups. Depending on the characteristics of the query, queries can be placed in groups that consume less database and hardware resources.""From a performance perspective, the management capabilities of the product are very valuable to its customers.""You can create a system group (database, application, and web server), so you can monitor performance as a system.""It is a highly stable solution. Stability-wise, I rate the solution a nine out of ten.""The most valuable feature of Oracle EMCC is its flexibility to manage various industries, projects, and tasks.""The capability to manage incidents, monitor agent statuses, and address performance issues is highly valuable."

Cons
"The product must have in-built SD-WAN connectivity.""It's useful for us but if it had more educational reporting, it would good. It's not necessarily lacking but it's an area that could get better.""So if it's more than a thousand, there could be some scalability issues. It becomes more complex as you go.""Fingerprint access security would improve this solution.""The tool should provide a 10-15 days extension for customers when their license expires.""I find their logging a little bit trickier to manage. The logging of events is broken up into a lot of different categories. Instead of breaking up my logs into several different places, I personally like to have all the events in one spot and then filter them down. In particular, I find that troubleshooting on Fortinet takes a little bit longer just because of those functional breakups in the logs.""If you are a very small company or a person on your own, it's harder to get any response from technical support.""There can be defects in Fortinet FortiPortal when functioning at high temperatures."

More Fortinet FortiPortal Cons →

"Oracle Data Guard monitoring: There are no alerts for redo log transport failure.""The product lacks in the area of database, making it an area where improvements are required.""You cannot use Enterprise Manager as replacement for a WebLogic console.""Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control needs to monitor other Oracle tools as well. It should also improve its pricing.""Another point that can be improved is the agent instability in the monitored hosts, because sometimes an agent has to be resynchronized to recapture the information.""Because all our banking infrastructure is based on Oracle, I’ve tried to register Enterprise Manager on the middleware level, let's say, WebLogic applications. But I cannot say that I can do all the administration from Enterprise Manager, that I can do from the WebLogic Admin Console. So, I think here it needs some improvement: Things that you can do on the WebLogic Admin Console, you should be able to do them on the Enterprise Manager, so you don’t have to log into the Admin Console.""The only negative thing about this product is that it doesn't support all environments or all applications.""I've had both positive and negative experiences with support. Its compatibility with the rest of the products in the market is less."
