We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use. Here are some excerpts of what they said:

Pros
"This platform is popular with technical users because of the abilities for customization and fine-tuning performance.""This is a solution that's so easy to expand when you need it to. It's the best I've ever seen. It's much better than Azure.""It's robust, and it has a wide reach in terms of office applications including storage.""Simple to use on the web, and makes things easy for a software developer.""You can just connect and start using it through a browser within a few minutes.""The initial setup is very straightforward.""I like it because it's convenient. Google Cloud is also stable and scalable. The technical support is good as well.""I like that it is simple to use."

"The solution offers many features and it is a complete replica of our data center.""The autonomous database functions are an excellent feature.""This is a highly available and scalable solution that can host both modern and legacy on-premises applications.""Frankly speaking, I've been very impressed with the stability the solution offers. Everything is working very well at the moment, and we haven't had any issues or faced any bugs or glitches.""The most valuable feature is the monitoring.""What I like best about Oracle Cloud is that it is an all-in-one system for everything.""The strength of this product is that they have many good database options, compared to other vendors.""The product gives you independence from hardware onsite, the setup is easy, and there is no need for hardware maintenance."

Cons
"The ease-of-use could be improved for less technical users.""The management side for the database needs some work. Currently, you do everything from the APP. It would be nice to have an interface where you can go in and maintain data and deal with records and do something online.""There are issues with stability.""Could provide more services.""Monitoring and usage reporting could be improved.""If there were more documentation and training, it would be very helpful in explaining the underlying processes.""I would improve the integration with other devices such as smartphones. It is integrated in our company, but I think it could be improved.""It could have a reporting tool included."

More Google Cloud Cons »

"With Oracle you have to create your own roles and it is more complex.""Portability of the VMware environment into the Oracle Cloud should be made more simple.""Simplifying the cloud management console would be really valuable for small and large customers alike.""The solution should integrate better with other tools and different vendors.""This service is very specific to Oracle and we cannot have other types of workloads on Oracle Cloud.""The integration tools that they offer are quite complex to use.""They offer some basic services but the choice is not as rich as other cloud providers.""The price of the subscription is too high and excludes some potential customers."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"Google cloud is less expensive than other comparable solutions.""The licensing for Google Cloud seems to be quite cheap and they're actually quite reasonable in comparison to Azure, which, as it turns out, is quite expensive. Even though Azure has a data center in South Africa it's still quite costly. There's no scaling, so if you go with the VM, you pay 2500 Rand. When you add another VM, it's another 2500 Rand even though you don't use the whole thing. With Google, you can go up as incrementally as you need to, even if it's just 30 Rand.""The best part of Google Cloud is that it is cheaper than the competitors.""The licensing cost is based on the capacity we use.""It's not really an expensive solution, but it would be better if there were more flexibility in the pricing model.""I am not familiar with the pricing, but I would guess that it is probably cheaper than Microsoft Suite""It has a monthly subscription. The customers pay based on the usage."

More Google Cloud Pricing and Cost Advice »

"Costing depends on if you have an existing license for the application and for the operating system.""The cost may be a bit high for many potential users.""The pricing is a little bit expensive compared to other products.""Improvements can be made with respect to flexibility in the licensing model.""The subscription is a pay-as-you-go model, with fees that are dependent on usage.""The subscription cost is too high.""We pay the subscription cost.""The pricing is the best."
