Find out what your peers are saying about Microsoft, SentinelOne, CrowdStrike and others in Endpoint Protection Platform (EPP)."The product detects and blocks threats and is more proactive than firewalls."
"Fortinet is very user-friendly for customers."
"he solution is an anti-malware product that integrates well with other vendor products such as firewalls, SIEM, etc. It captures threat intelligence and gives you better visibility. The product also has sandboxing features."
"The most valuable feature is the analysis, because of the beta structure."
"This is stable and scalable."
"The features that I have found most valuable are the ability to customize it and to reduce its size. It lets you run in a very small window in terms of memory and resources on legacy cash registers."
"Exceptions are easy to create and the interface is easy to follow with a nice appearance."
"It is a scalable solution...The initial setup of Fortinet FortiEDR was straightforward."
"Its threat intelligence feature is beneficial. This solution smoothly integrates with SIEM."
"The folders and files protection are its most valuable features. These have been valuable because of the increase in ransomware attacks. With these two features, I can ensure that no changes have been made to our system or endpoint folders and files without the user being aware."
"It is a straightforward setup."
"It's one of the best antiviruses on the market."
"Defender's analytics are much better than CrowdStrike's."
"Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is a robust platform."
"DFE organizational security posture has been a positive experience. We're a Microsoft house. It works. Once it's deployed and once it's configured, it works and our clients tend to be happy with it. I haven't really experienced anyone who has been so unsatisfied with the platform that they wanted to go a couple of different directions, that has never happened to me."
"It doesn't cause the slowness of the system, which is one of the reasons why I like it."
"I like the processing feature on the product because it does everything at once, i.e, indexing, recovery, keyword searches, etc."
"The solution is very stable."
"The most important feature we've found is the Enscripts. That is one powerful feature that I, personally, love to use."
"The technical support is excellent."
"It indexes much faster, and is more reflexive because of the Enscripts."
"It speeds up the process, so I can meet my deadlines."
"Data Recovery: Its ability to repair damaged partitions and uncover hidden partitions from within the tool, and allow further analysis."
"FortiEDR could add a separate scanning dashboard. In incident management, we prefer to remove the endpoint system from the environment and scan the system. We typically use Symantec for that, but if we want to use FortiEDR for that, then we need a scanning tab to clarify things."
"We've encountered challenges during API deployment, occasionally resulting in unstable environments."
"The solution should address emerging threats like SQL injection."
"ZTNA can improve latency."
"The only minor concern is occasional interference with desired programs."
"I think cloud security and SASE are areas of concern in the product where improvements are required. The tool's cloud version has to be improved in terms of the security it offers."
"Making the portal mobile friendly would be helpful when I am out of office."
"The solution is not stable."
"A single dashboard would be a significant improvement."
"It is currently more suitable for end-users rather than enterprises with lots of other processes and third-party tools. It needs improvement on that front. We had many issues while integrating it with our enterprise solutions, such as Splunk, and third-party tools. It provides everything via APIs. Other vendors provide integration with third-party tools, but Microsoft doesn't do that. It is also logging too much and is not serialized from the process aspect. It has all the data, but it is not in a proper format or not properly indexed, which doesn't make it easier for enterprises to use this data. Other vendors provide troubleshooting information that can be used to troubleshoot issues, but Microsoft doesn't provide anything like that."
"It is inexpensive but could be cheaper like anything else."
"At times, the other antivirus products are now doing AI, in terms of understanding the behavior of the system and determining when there's an anomaly. This is something that Defender can improve on."
"Some integration components for Mac should be added. We use both Windows 10 desktops and Mac desktops, but presently, the Mac component is still lagging a bit behind."
"Sometimes the software doesn't work the way we expect it to, and in those cases, we can't communicate with a device because it may be infected."
"I would like to see fewer pop messages and alerts."
"The biggest issue I had with Microsoft Defender for Endpoint was the antivirus and ransomware. I wanted central visibility over all the machines that we operate."
"In the past, incident response time for tech support was slow."
"Sometimes the application can take more time to complete the image processing or fail at the end of the process."
"The reporting is a bit unreliable. It needs to be better."
"Ease of use and learning curve need improvement."
"There were minor UI bugs."
"We have come across problems with the end-case. We could not find an email discovery type of module and there was not flexibility with the email."
"I would like to see a capability to ingest and absorb more data. That would be really good. It currently is lacking this function."
