We asked business professionals to review the solutions they use.
Here are some excerpts of what they said:
Pros
"Virtual Fabric and interconnects are easy to configure and maintain.""The solution is very fast and the power consumption is great.""HPE BladeSystem is very easy to use.""No issues with scalability. We can scale by adding another enclosure.""When it comes to the BladeSystem, what we love about it most is being able to actually manage it using OneView.""Remote management features are valuable.""They are very fast and very reliable. They are working under very tough conditions.""The technical support is good."

"Feature-wise, the most valuable one is the fact that it has 100 hundred percent uptime every year. Secondly, it is stable.""The stability of HPE NonStop is good.""We don't have any issues with the stability of HPE NonStop."

Cons
"The servers are a little bit huge, so it would be great if they could renew the size.""We have not needed to contact support because we have not had an issue. However, the partner support we had could improve. There are some disadvantages compared to Dell. The questions that are asked from the support are too lengthy, this causes a delay in support.""HPE BladeSystems is an old technology that cannot fit all of the dynamic organizational needs of our company.""We had a few hard drives that crashed, and we couldn't find them locally. We've tried internationally, but we are still struggling to get its spare parts. This is the main challenge that we have faced with this solution. Fortunately, the other drives are still working. There should be easy availability of spare parts. I should be able to request a quotation online from HPE for things that I am not able to get locally. Currently, I can order online, but when I type the serial number, most of the time, it is rejected. I don't know why it is happening. It could be because the company that sold us the system didn't buy it through the normal HPE channel. HPE should assist us as users to get the spare parts. Its security needs to be beefed up. I would like some security features. It was also challenging for us to set it up because we didn't get enough training from them.""The problem is that when want to expand with a new chassis, you have to do everything manually. It's not automatic.""I would prefer to have changes in the compatibility of the blade servers with the new ones designed by HPE, as the top team's version does not have it.""If the hardware offered higher efficiency, that would be an ideal situation for our company.""We sometimes have compatibility issues depending on the browser that you are using. For example, sometimes you have to switch between Edge, Mozilla, Internet Explorer, or Chrome to have things operating correctly."

"It would be helpful if they brought the price down.""It is not flexible...Not a lot of applications run on HPE NonStop.""HPE NonStop could improve by having infrastructure management."

Pricing and Cost Advice
  • "Their licensing program is pretty simple."
  • "With regards to the prices, they need to adapt to the current needs of the country."
  • "The prices for the HPE Virtual Connect Modules are expensive compared to other I/O Modules available."
  • "Add OneView and ILO advanced to the base product. Don’t adjust the price, but just include them."
  • "The price could be cheaper."
  • "The chassis itself, with no blade server inside, so expensive. The C7000 model costs around $100,000."
  • "It is not expensive, really, in this class of server products."
  • "It is expensive. There are no additional costs. We are able to get good discounts anyway from HPE, but if the price can come down, we'll be happy."

  • "HPE NonStop is definitely on the higher end."
  • "The price of the solution is too high. If they lowered the price substantially it would open up more opportunities. It's considered a replacement for the old 9000 boxes of HP. If it had a lower price, we would be able to compete in the financial, and other sectors and other solutions such as Terraform. Having a high price makes other solutions more attractive."
  • "On a scale of one to ten, where one is very cheap, and ten is very expensive, I rate the pricing an eight."
