Pros
"The most valuable features are resiliency and data protection.""If you were comparing this solution to VMware, it has more features, and it's very fast on the recovery.""I've found the data protection features the most valuable.""The HPE Hyper Converged solution is used in a hybrid cloud configuration. We assess the disk space and partition additional capacity.""What I really like about this program, is that it needs little space and it works really fast, so it saves us time.""The most valuable feature is the in-built backup system. The backup speed is also excellent.""Hyper-convergence is the most valuable aspect of the solution. We can avoid downtime when there's maintenance or updates needed. Also, we have homogenous hardware, so we have a lot of trust in the solution's reliability.""The most valuable features of this solution are fast deployment, security, and it is easy to upgrade."

Cons
"A software-only version of the solution, without the hardware, would be nice.""One problem I've had is that I was trying to do a move and it was not working. I was given an error and a message asking me to shut down the machine first and then move it to another host.""The price can be improved. We would like to see support for some open source virtualization technology like for example KVM.""Some improvement is required in the availability of the data and performance. The solution is too expensive for our customers. The pricing should be lower.""The solution is not very stable.""The solution can be improved on the management side. More management features should be added to future releases.""The solution would be better served if it integrated with other solutions better.""Providing local technical support and improving the price are areas this service needs to consider improving."

More HPE Hyper Converged Cons »

"One thing I've noticed is that, when you do a shift from VMware to Nutanix, it opens the setup of the VM that's currently running. If people from another site double click on it, it opens the VM instead of the setup of the unit. So I would suggest that this could perhaps be switched. That is so far the only change I would like. I would like it if they could fix the instance where you double click on a VM and it opens the VM instead of the setup. That's the only thing that's a major bother to me.""The product could be improved with more security. The product needs a bit more experience in the market. I think you don't have the possibility to add other hardware. It could be improved with the ability to add and extend.""I would have liked it if Nutanix were a hardware as well as a software platform.""The storage and back-up facilities could be improved. We need day-to-day encrypting of the database.""There could be better support for high power ESX and other cross platform applications.""In terms of the IT different categories, I would like for the governing sections to be able to use it in the IT department. If they can have something like a one view management portal or software similar to VMware that would be an added value.""In the licensing, it needs to be clear about features because it is not clear whether Flow is integrated or not.""The solution doesn't support older systems, which can be a problem for some organizations who wish to implement it. It became a problem for us due to the fact that some of our systems are older."

Pricing and Cost Advice
"It is an expensive solution, however. If they could adjust the pricing, that would be helpful.""The solution is too expensive for our customers. The pricing should be lower.""The solution is expensive - not only the hardware costs but server costs too. And the more you scale, the more expensive it gets.""There are costs in addition to the standard licensing fees."

More HPE Hyper Converged Pricing and Cost Advice »

"Our licensing fee on the total setup up was about R900 000.""I think it's cheaper than VMware in terms of cost.""AHV is free! This is a great feature that should be taken advantage of.""The licensing costs are a bit expensive but when you compare the features, it's reasonable.""This product is less expensive than some of the competing HCI solutions.""Its price is fine. I can't really complain about that.""My advice is to get the ultimate license, as it is worth it.""The setup cost, pricing, and licensing are very competitive and TCO is very low compared to three-tier solutions."
